I am not a fan of Anselmo Moreno. I am a very harsh critic of him. He's overrated. That is well documented.
Are me and Jpab the only ones who think this isn't a walk in the park for Brook? It's a perfect fight for Kell.
I see it going the distance with Kell winning a good fight after a few scares. I can't see Brook winning every round or stopping the Pole. He's Brook's best opponent so far, so why the problem with him? He could very well beat Brook.
How he isn't a "live" opponent is beyond me. He has better wins than Brook does, actually possesses a win(could've been two) over an opponent who is kind of world class in Zaveck(not to mention a legitimate win over Delvin Rodriguez, which not many people have), which easily surpasses anything Kell has done thus far. He's limited, and nothing all that good, but he's being done a bit of a disservice in this thread I think, people are neglecting what he's achieved so far, which is a decent amount.
Probably. That and he hasn't even been watched by a lot of people either. I mean, christ on a bike, he's a good fighter. Better than N'dou anyways, and he'll pose Brook with some difficulty. Hand him a defeat? Probably not, but he's a good counter-puncher and he's very good defensively.
A Polish pastry? atsch Jackiewicz isn't the most skilled operator in the game, but he deserves any real fight fan's respect. He clawed his way out of obscurity (and sporting an already shoddy record from his early going) and scored a few excellent wins against world ranked welterweights who were or still are contending at the world level. The Zaveck win is seen by some as having been a case of home cooking, but it was competitive enough and Zaveck only barely won the rematch on his own turf. The dude's toughness and willingness to truly fight for three minutes at a time are enough to make him easily Brook's biggest challenge to date, although I don't see him being able to outpoint the much classier, more athletic and fresher Yorkshireman and don't have much faith in him doing any chin-checking either. He will be a MUCH bigger challenge than the given-up-on-it-all version of N'Dou that Brook met. Anyone saying otherwise has to be looked upon with suspicion, as they have probably not ever seen Jackiewicz and are just having a look at his won/lost totals. It is shocking how ignorant Brits can be of the European scene outside their minuscule isles.
Appalling, really - some of the stupidity (or speaking on issues without any qualification to do so, as the case may be) exhibited in this thread...except by Glad 'n' pab.
I guess I'm an anomaly then. This is going to be a fun fight I think. I can see Brook looking good landing some nice punches/combinations but Jackiewicz isn't going to budge easy. I think it even has the potential to be a bit of a war, Jackiewicz is no N'Dou, he's not walking up to you with his hands high. It's a shame the undercard is terrible. atsch Senchenko next for the WBA?
Have to agree 100%, but this is what we see everywhere on the General. Disgusting really. For example, the Martinez fight with Barker was considered a 'poor performance' on Martinez' side. Well maybe the opponent was just good... Nope, has to be a poor performance by Martinez :-(
