Hearn saying on twitter that it is definitely not Clottey. Sorry to disappoint.

 damn you Clottey, tricking us all! Ah well let's hope either Bradley or Cotto pulls out so Special K can dominate Mayweather or Pacquiao instead :good

On twitter tonight Eddie's ruled out pretty much everybody except for Zaveck, who he says they're going to be talking to.

Zaveck is a decent fight, held his own against Berto. I'd have no issues with that fight and tbh a win there and the last year he'd been managed perfectly to a world title shot.

I thought so. Clottey is not someone you wanna be facing before picking up a strap.

Yeah, Flea. It would be a good fight and really good test for Brook. In fact i would pick Clottey to win as i said earlier. But it's not the type of fight that's made these days though at this stage of a guy like Brook's career, where he hasn't picked up a strap yet and he's on a certain trajectory. I also think Clottey would be pretty hard to entice back to welter without a strap and not a huge amount in his pocket. They need a showcase fo this date and Clottey is slightly too dangerous for a showcase type at this stage.

Clottey never got over his loss to Cotto a fight which I feel he won.

It's a step in a right direction for Kell if this fight is really being fought of, it depends which version of Clottey turns up, the one vs Pac was just there to make up the numbers.

You're being a bit harsh on Clottey flea, hes got some world class qulaities obviously. If he hadnt he would never have won a world title and have ran cotto so close. He may not be a big puncher, but he does have a solid dig, enough to get the respect of some very good fighters. Plus his shell defence is near impenetrable imo, hes probably one of the best exponents of it in the game today. Even Pacquiao, with all his crazy angles, speed and footwork couldnt open him up with any consistency. Id consider him to be fairly quick and when he opens up with his pucnhes. Of course we've never seen him in with a world class fighter in two years now, but unless hes severly past his prime, he will give Kell a major test. In fact if this was a more active version of Clottey ( fight wise ) id favour him to beat Brook:deal

Looks like its Zaveck. There're doing it the right way a very steady, achievable stepup in every fight apart from the bum he fought on his US debut.

    Ndou - R.Jack - Hatton - Zaveck - WBA/IBF champ. Very good matchmaking IMO.

Before anyone says anything there is simply no point in chasing the WBO/WBC.

They're not doing it the right way really. I mean NOW they are sort of, but the fact is that he has been a pro now for almost EIGHT years. It is ****ing ludicrous that he has not stepped up sooner and been tested earlier.

N'Dou was shot to **** and way too old to even provide Brook with a learning experience, and frankly he should be well past the stage of needing those sorts of fights. Hatton was good match making, as at least he is durable and on paper would provide a test.

I haven't said anything different to what you have. I also gave him credit for being more skilled than others mentioned, so in fact I was complimenting him.

'Won a world title' means NOTHING to me. He was not THE World champ'. And yeah, he had a competitive fight with Cotto (and Margarito) and beat Zab. Again, doesn't elevate him above the (fair IMO) assessment I gave of him.

Clottney is a very good step forward at least and this is the man that took Pac 12 rounds within the last 18 months so lets get it on
