A logical step for both. Hatton doesn't have a glass jaw, which by default makes him a step up in class for Kell so far. Hopefully it happens, the winner can then start to think of bigger things. I'd make Brook a favourite, probably on points. If he wins a genuine world title (WBC/IBF) I'll eat my hat though.
what happens when hatton clinches, hits behind the head etc will brook have the mentality and experience to deal with it. I don't know. brook loves to use his reflexes and counter a bit like saul alvarez but he is far more open and needs space to get them off. Hatton throws his punches and can clinch straight after which will stifle his work. brooks got the tools but not the experience as of yet.
This is a logical fight, so it probably won't happen. Hatton is such a twat but has a few decent scalps and is European champ. He's also never been stopped unlike all Brook's opponents. Brook's competition is terrible. The one decent fighter he fought we didn't get a conclusive outcome or a showcase of his ability.
Logical fight as has been said. I think Matt is being underrated by a lot of people. No he's not his brother, but he is a good solid fighter and euro champ. The man deserves more respect than he is getting (yes he can come across as a ****, but still.....)
Brook will have too much skills for him. Hatton is decent euro level, where I think brook will become world champion.
Hatton is european champ and I think he has fought better opposition then kel brook. kel is massively overrated and hatton is underrated. I see hatton as a bit of a scapegoat in british boxing, takes abuse he doesn't deserve and gets no recognition. Doubt the fight would happen but dont think it would be as one sided as people are suggesting.
I think brook would win and comfortably,i like brook but he's well overdue a step up in class this would be a good fight to start with.
I know everyone hates Matt Hatton. But who the **** has Brook fought!? Apart from Jennings, who was stopped on a cut before he had a chance to get going. Yeah Brook has skills, but regardless of what you say about Hatton he is a hard man and will ask questions of Brook that have never been asked before. I think this would be a very close fight. I would probably go for a Brook win but it won't be easy, and it wouldn't surprise me if Hatton won on points or stopped him late. Doubt very much the fight will happen though.
Kell Brook's level of opponent has been nothing short of disgraceful. Matthew Hatton, up until a few years ago, had a terrible resume too - the difference is that he didn't go around telling everyone he'd knock out the likes of Manny Pacquaio and Amir Khan. Also, where has Michael Jennings gone? Dodgy stoppage against Brook and I've not seen or heard of him since he the fight was stopped!?
