He's fought under Hearn once, in his biggest test to date (not much) and that was just over 3 months ago. I'm not sure what you expected.

I agree about the Ingle style having flawes - the switch hitting style, dependant on reflexes - will/does get exposed against the cream of the division. I also agree he needs to keep busy, maybe fighting again before the end of the year.

The reason i said Matchroom are doing a good job with Kell, he's now with a team who will risk putting the stable in against the better fighters, more 50/50 fights rather than wrapping them in cotton wool like many promoters do.

Too many people are expressing an opinon based on his previous opponents - that's nothing to do with Kell, his job is to fight.

WOW the guy who started this thread loves Kell Brook TOO much. For one like other posters have said - who has Brook faced that is anywhere near as good as; Zab Judah, Maidana, Malignaggi, Kotelnik, or McCloskey. Nobody! Brook has potential but its a MASSIVE step up in class from Kell Brook to Amir Khan.

to the guy who started the thread - Are you in anyway related to Kell Brook and get off this website until you know something about boxing.

Ive been a big fan of Kell since I 1st saw him against Mcintyre.

His career has stalled over the last few years but hopefully now he will get the opportunities to prove he's a world class talent

I'm a fan of Amir too & think it would be an entertaining fight but it wont happen unless Brook has a title

When it does, Brook is sharp enough to hurt Khan & win a close, competitive fight (sorry Laz)

So he shouldn't, he hasn't fought anyone. I can't think of a single fight that you can point to and use as justification for picking him to beat Khan. He may well look good against a procession of journeymen but when has he ever had to show heart? Or a chin? The lad has never been tested, not once, so I can't pick him over a guy who has demonstrated that he's genuine world class and is rightly considered to be the best in his division.

I'm a fan of both fighters but Khan has already faced high quality opposition and shown hes got some mettle, hence he got my vote. But 12 months down the line we could see a completely different complexion on both fighters - How would Khan look moving up in weight thus reducing his physical advantage over opponents, and has Brook got the disccipline and temperament to become a legit world champ? I'm looking forward to seeing both these guys entertain us!

Brook is a big guy who has snappy pop, but Khan is much more proven... hard to pick, but Khan would be my favourite... we just havn't seen what Khan has at welter though, Khans performance differs a lot depending on the size and strength of his opponent, so his move to welter is VERY interesting.

Thats how I see it. Brook needs a belt at 147 before he becomes an attractive fight to Khan IMHO.

You call being stiff as a board, walking into punches and having no chin to chest tuck, elusive?

Brook has several very nasty habits that will get him into serious trouble when he eventually steps up...moving back in straight lines and hanging your chin in the aor when throwing the jab will be grist to the mill for a seasoned operator. In short Brook is a serious KO waiting to happen.

I voted Khan but I had to think about it for a while TBH, Im not a fan of Brooks style but it could be effective against Khan, Khan still makes a lot of mistakes that can be capitalised on with crisp counter punching and head movement, I don't think Brooks at that level yet though?

Khan looks like he as the frame to go all the way up to 154lbs towards the end of his career. He's already outgrowing junior welter weight, hence the move up to 147lbs in 2012. This move is not being made without the consent of Roach & Ariza and Emanuel Steward has already commented on what a huge JWW he is.

So, take the flip side and ask yourself could Kell Brook make 135lbs and how would the drop affect his performance?
