He may not have super reflexes but he's MUCH more orthodox than most fighters from that gym and a lot more fundamentally sound. He's a really orthodox skilled fighter trying to break out. I hate when they tell him to start switching hitting and do gimmicks like that though. That sh*t is smoke and mirrors and has him pulling his chin up and walking into shots.
Glad to see that he has obviously taken note of our criticism and is now tucking his chin a bit......good performance tonight, looked good, very strong and had all the answers. :good
When M. Hatton vs Khan was proposed people were calling it a mismatch and safe fight. However, Brook beating Hatton in a UD qualifies it as a great victory over a great opponent ..well done! Matthew Hatton is nothing more than fringe world class fighter.
Craig Watson dismantled Matthew Hatton as well. I think everyone is getting ahead of themselves. Khan has a very good jab, better handspeed and a more varied attack and more proven power. It would be a close fight, but one that Khan takes. Hatton lets face it, for all the credit he got for staying on his feet, he boxed poorly tonight. He had no idea's and when he's faced with an aggressive fighter like Kell he had no plan B. Lets also remember Khan has been in with MUCH better opposition and for Kell's first real test being against Matthew Hatton, he still has a way to go. Let him face the likes of Berto/Jones and Alexander. I still think he would lose to 2/3 of those.
Khan still has far too many flaws for my liking. His footwork is still poor, his hands move 5 hours before his feet at times and we all know how bad is inside game is. Both have great jabs and Khan has the edge in speed but overall I have to go with Brook at this stage. Berto (hypejob) Ortiz (not right in the head) and all other top (supposed) guys in the division can be beaten by the pair of them, obviously excluding Pac and Floyd.
