I think Rios has that punchers chance for sure. Brook is a good fighter but in no way a special talent.

Rios is easily top 5 at 147(excluding Floyd&Pac), this will be a great fight. If Brook wins this, there's only Thurman left for absolute domination in the post Floyd/Pac era.

Brook will most likely win on points but I give Bam Bam more than a decent chance at the upset, I think he hits harder than Porter and he's slightly more skilled than Porter, definitely a better inside game.

No way a special talent? He is THE SPECIAL ONE.

Not a special fighter? :p I'm not even a fan and I think he's the most impressive guy except Pac and may in the division.

Brook vs Khan, Thurman, or Bradley
Rios vs Maidana, Guerrero, or Berto

It's not rocket science. You match the guys at the same level.

ellerbe doesn't understand this because Gavin has never been on HBO or Showtime, it makes him a bum. He actually thinks Porter and Rios are better fighters than Gavin (who I'd wager he's never even seen a picture of)

Khan doesn't want to fight him, Thurman and Bradley won't be available since they have fighs coming up. I asked who's available, it's not exactly rocket science.

So if Gavin is better than Porter, would Thurman's tuneup that beat Gavin beat him too, and is he better? Gavin has more skills than Porter, but he's not abetter fighter, Porter would kill him, and Rios too.

Bundu. Yes most likely he would. And how exactly was Bundu a tune-up? Tune-up for who? He fought Robert Guerrero about 5 months later who is a similar level to Bundu.

Ok, then I guess you agree that Thurman's resume completely ****s on brooks. :good, can't disagree there.

THIS is what it is about. But I do think this fight will be exciting...Brook does win, but Rios gives a good showing.

A resume isn't made up of one name. You do understand this right? :think

Have to favor Brook by as decent margin as he is the more skilled boxer, but Rios can make an exciting fight and has a legit chance at pulling an upset if he can make Brook really work and keep pressure on late.
