Kell Brook vs Errol Spence Jr. prediction thread.

Spencer can't hit a moving target, can't take a punch, has basic footwork, poor shot variety, leaves himself wide open to the counter....

He just isn't very good. He beat a 140lb ballet dancer and 87 year old Italian.

Honestly, "the truth" will be revealed on Saturday. Can. Not. Wait.

 

GGG is often willing to get hit to land off his own shots, and I think going into the Brook fight against career welterweight, he went in with that mentality. So for Brook to land on GGG isn't so impressive IMO, it was to be expected.

And Porter is a big pressure fighter but a lot of his pressure is chaos with little accuracy, Spence is more conservative but a lot more accurate and clinical with his pressure. He's definitely more skilled.

I haven't seen Brook against a southpaw near the quality of Spence, it will definitely be interesting. I personally can't call it.

 

I'm waiting for the weigh-in before making my prediction. Both cut a lot of weight, want to see how they look

 

So Spence is just a guy getting his mandatory shot ??? Dude, Spence is the greats, what makes you try spreading he "can't take a shot" ? His talent is off the charts and the ONLY way brook has any shot what so ever, is if Spence literally "cannot take a shot"

I've seen him buzzed real quick at the end of round 7 vs lartey, a fighter superior to Brooks entire resume minus TWO fighters.

Are you jumping of the clown train thought process that try spewing Spence was "hurt" from that shot through round 8 because he coasted after dominating every second of the 7 (out of 8 rounds) till the very last seconds of round 7 caught with a good shot that came out of nowhere.

Spence was is with a fighter with twice the fights and still undefeated. That was twice as many rounds as Spence ever went, he fought evenly (literally) in round 8 with a totally desperate undefeated fighter.

Spence has the better wins collectively in 19 vs 37 fights. If Spence has anything resembling a chin this turns in to a MISMATCH!!!

 

Ndou or Matthew Hatton were slightly better than Lartey and Brook schooled them

 

This forum is dominated by Brit fan boys who will always pick their guy no matter what. Some were even tipping Walsh to ko Davis. I don't have a problem with anyone having national pride. The problem is they just don't back their pick with their wallet. William Hill had Spence at 1.72 a month ago but he has plummeted to 1.50 today and I fear he will go lower after the weigh in. I expected it to go the other way so come on boys how about digging into those pockets I want better than 1.50 on Spence.

 

Brook looked very worried in the press conference against Spence. You could see it in his eyebrows. With Golovkin his belt wasn't on the line so it was pretty much free money. Against Spence this fight actually means something.

Couldn't resist Brook's moneyline when it hit +195 last night. I think his chances are better than those odds impute. Also took a little stab on Brooke inside the distance at +602. Pretty generous odds in my opinion.

 

I think brook gets stopped. I can't get carson Jones fight out of my head.could be a bad bloody night.

 

Brook's chin will fail him in a fight he's slightly ahead in...I say Spence stops him in the 10th, with Brook leading on at least 2 of the cards by a point.

Spence by clear decision. He's so compact and well positioned, and his accuracy is laser-like and his punch selection so smart. Brook might have the edge in speed, power, and chin, but Spence I think shows that's not what boxing is all about. Brook might edge a few early round with outside boxing, butSpence pulls away and dominates by the later rounds. I do see this going the distance.

 

Very hard fight to predict because I just don't know either guy like that well. Brook might look good but will he fight like Chavez Jr or will he be Brook at WW. Spence hasn't even been in 1 fight yet. This is his first step up. I'm not high on either yet. I haven't been convinced.

 

I think Spence will stop Brook in the mid to late rounds from his body work. I am not that high on Brook.

 

I think Spence has big power, but loads up way too much. Brook will beat him to the punch, win most rounds, but I have a feeling Spence will rock Brook at some point. Bundu was able to get to Spence, Brook will make him pay. Brook doesn't make as many mistakes as Spence does, that'll be the difference. Unless Brook gets stupid and goes toe to toe or Brook is damaged goods I don't see him losing. Spence is too basic, unless he starts jabbing or showing something we haven't seen before.
