    Just looking at the rankings

Eddie Hearn said another test I think Kendall Holt fits the bill well, not much else.

Maidana going to 140, Devon wont travel, Mosley not available, Malignaggi fighting Senchenko. Berto and Ortiz wont travel.

Who else is there who will travel to Sheffield.

No chance, Kendall hits to hard, too risky.

An injury in build up could open the door for Kell.

Brook did show an okay chin. Not to suggest he can take Holts biggest punch but some punches landed completely flush and he was unphased.

Kell takes him apart, unless that left hook lands!

Yeah took a few loaded up ones in that one round I gave to Hatton.

Took them well, but Mattys hardly a K.O monger.

Might turn out to be an iron chin who knows it could be the other way though still un phased though so all good thus far.

Tighten that defence up Kell, and its all there kid!

That left hook is just about the most lethal in boxing.

  11. A couple more tests for me.

He's learning that he can't just bang people out with one punch, certainly not at the level which he is now operating - he's beaten a couple of durable if limited contenders in N'Dou and Hatton, which was a huge step up from guys like Kevin McIntyre and Philip Kotey, who I'd have beaten in my drunken state that night.

Holt isn't a fight I'd take, not because he can't win (he can) but he does nothing for Kell - he's been on the outer for about four years and has little name value, and has been banged out a couple of times.

With Brook now in the position where he can pick his fights more carefully, he should be getting the right tests rather than being chucked in the deep end.

Are there any good (and available) southpaws between 140-154? That's something that could be ticked off next.

Jan Zaveck would be a proper test if they can get him over.

Can Delvin Rodriguez still make welter? That'd be another decent fight. If you want a southpaw, the Romanian guy JoJo Dan who's had two close fights with Aydin (think at least one was a jobbing) would be alright.

Brook would be too fast for Holt to navigate IMO. He has the accuracy and variety to catch and hurt Holt, who is your typical vulnerable banger. Brook seems more open to leaping shots as he maintains his range well. Holt gets under/around shots to pop.

Bailey would be more dangerous, with his long and powerful right. These are way more risk than award, and not really sensible business, and neither would be Karass.

I'd prefer a real step up next though. Zaveck>Senchenko.

Battle of the prospects; Brook Vs Jones would be the best shout for me.

Dan is a good shout if they're still looking to build Kell up. As the pinnacle of the division is Pac/Floyd he's probably gonna' wait until they're gone to try establish his superiority.

No need to rush, more building fights are a gold idea. Dan is a good shout and a different stylistic test, but I think Brook is ready for someone legit'. The winner of Aydin-Guerrero would be perfect.

Jo Jo Dan and Jones are both decent fights.

Dan might just be a walkover for Brook, despite him looking decent the second time out against Aydin (and winning clearly on my card) he didn't appear to be anywhere close to Brooks level, though that says more about Dan and Aydin that it does Brook. Dan would be a good name to add to Brook's record.

Jones looks worse every time you watch him. Looked pretty horrendous against Sebastian Andres Lujan who to be fair was game and awkward but a class or two below world level and despite Jones winning clearly he didn't look good at all. He'd be risky for Brook but I'd favour the englishman.
