Kell Brook vs Kendall Holt

  1. There's certainly nothing wrong with taking your time and picking the right tests, so long as there's a gradual progression.

The trouble is, we're so used to seeing fighters protected from any kind of risk before being chucked in with the top man as a cash out fight or finding a beatable ''champion'' that this kind of management seems alien to us.

:good This is proper matchmaking rather than fighting a few "teak tough Ghanaians" for the Commonwealth, getting a WBO no.1 ranking and fighting for the vacant title.

People say Brook is being moved slowly but it's only cos Frank did such a **** job with him after he won the Lonsdale outright.

Brook is being moved well. If Frampton beats any of Quigg, Munroe or Martinez by the end of the year, I'd say Matchroom is doing well.

Let's hope they pick up some good Olympians this year. Would be great to see what they could do and I think we'll really see the difference between Hearn and Frank Dubya.

  4. Agreed, I think he did a **** job with him whilst he was winning the Lonsdale outright too.

He probably had the worst set of opponents for a man to win one permanently, especially in the always strong welterweight division, and there surely being light welters and light middles to fight too.

For the life of me I really can't understand what his tactics were, as soon as Pac won the WBO title it ought to have flicked a switch in his mind that a change of plan was needed.

He's obviously got plenty of influence in the WBO but he's not going to guarantee them better business than Manny, in a single fight - and that's all that matters, meanwhile Brook's career stalled.

I still don't think he's recovered from losing Khan, it was a massive blow to his plans for the likes of DeGale, who then had to leapfrog everyone else in terms of priority.

Three fights under Eddie, three proper opponents and three convincing wins. More of the same needed :yep

Jones is getting by on being an American prospect. I didn't think he looked good against past his best and never actually above average (and 140lber) Bruseles.

    Is he fighting Bailey???!?!!
