Unfortunately, this is the kind of fight where Brook will win but won't receive any credit. It takes care of a mandatory but achieves nothing else. I really hope he can get someone like Garcia next.
A bit like Kovalev vs. Mohammedi, in that respect. Bizier earned & deserves his shot & payday, but from Brook's perspective this is a pain-in-the-ass waste-of-time obligation. Now that would be great. :good
Biz sitting @ just shy of being a 15/1 underdog. If the Canadian pulls off the upset something is VERY wrong in Team Brook. I don't think Bizier even stands as much chance as Carson Jones had in the rematch. (and doesn't pose the same kind of stylistic worries or threat of physicality that Kid did...)
Waste of time..The result is a foregone conclusion. What's the point in watching? There isn't any. Especially when a top quality MW bout will be on at the same time.
Yeah, he doesn't have anything to trouble Brook in his style or his ability. I can't even see Kell falling asleep at the wheel because he seems determined to put on a show to advance his case for getting a big fight.
Ironically, my gut feeling is that Brook would struggle a lot more with Jo-Jo Dan (against whom Bizier went life & death, and suffered both of his career defeats heretofore by split decision) than with Bizier himself. ...but even Dan would end up losing a 116-112 sort of decision to Brook.
Completely agree. Dan could theoretically get in his face and apply some pressure like Carson Jones did. He has a style which is somewhat awkward for Brook (or at least tough to look good against) - but Bizier? He should play right into his hands.
:nod ...like I said above, if anything other than a Brook domination occurs here, it should be taken as signifying there is something very wrong. (like he got stabbed in the leg again during camp but didn't tell anybody )
