I was at the fight in Boston and myself and the people I was with thought Hatton had lost. Collazo got stronger as the fight went on and by the finish looked very much like the dominant fighter. At the time I felt Ricky got by on his reputation.
Thats how the fight went but you still score a fight round by round. Winning the first round gets a 10-9 and winning the 12th round gets a 10-9.
Gaz just don't look at my opinion before watching Matthyse/Alexander otherwise you'll score it how I did to avoid confrontation.
As soon as I posted that I knew some wise ass would pick up on it. OK score the first 10-8 and the 2nd round 10-9....:twisted:
Fair enough but I thought Collazo was the better man on the night. BTW we were there to support Ricky.
Can't really argue with a guy that paid money to travel across the world to watch his favorite fighter Ricky Hatton and still scored it to the other guy. Can you
I agree, Hatton looked beaten up but all you can do is count up the rounds I guess? Theres a thread on here where we all posted our scores for that fight. Do you fancy taking a go at it? Watching it a second time the fight was a lot better than a I remembered it...
I haven't watched it in a couple of years. Way back in the day the man who was in the best shape at the end was declared the winner. Tom Sharkey apparently won 18 of 25 rounds againt Jim Jeffries but it was felt that because Jefferies battered Sharkey so badly in the last 5 rounds he had to be given the decision. I know that does't mean anything to Hatton v Collazo but the modern round system definitely favours the boxing organisations best prospects. Hatton must have been given more of the close rounds which is one bull**** aspect of the rounds scoring system.
Hatton a Brook have very different styles Brooks style will give Collazo alot of problems, but i say yeah go for it or Bailey or Berto
I'd like to see Brook get in with Bailey next. Kell should beat him handily but it will give us an idea of how well Kell perfoms against someone he knows has the power to KO just about anyone at the weight if he lands flush. If he gets by Bailey then fights with the likes of Collazo, Paulie, Jones or Zaveck would be good.
