Maidana is a bit taller and longer than Porter and he hits harder. I don't think he applies the same in your face pressure as Porter but tbh that worked against Porter when he fought Brook.

Could be an interesting fight but I have to go with Brook in this one.

Porter and Brook was a very close fight as well.

Wouldn't have even been that competitive in my opinion, Brook would have absolutely battered Maidana.

I don't consider 118-110 very close, which in reality is what Brook-Porter was, not sure what match you watched.

If this fight were scheduled like 3 or 4 months out @ 154, Maidana comes back and stops him late.

Tbh I had it 116-112 to Brook. I don't think Porter could have won but I see an argument that he could have snuck a draw.

Maidana probably gets the same treatment his style works better when he's the bigger stronger man and against Brook he simply isn't either.

I like Maidana but I really don't see how you could argue for him winning this fight.

Brook... He took GGG's punches for five rounds, so Maidana won't be able to dominate him physically.

Big fan of Maidana but no easy win if a win at all with Special K.
I called for Maidana to beat and maybe even KO Broner and he did but I would not bet on him against Special K

The Maidana that took Broner apart and gave Mayweather a close fight is NOT getting schooled by Brook or Alexander or destroyed by Thurman. Maidana was makin Floyd miss at times he'd make Thurman and Brook miss too. Maidana still has enough power to hurt any welter he hurt Floyd in the rematch. Wasn't as fast as Porter or Thurman, but Maidana under Garcia was good enough to beat them and he would have.
