Had to look De Luca up as I've never heard of him. His record is nothing but a succession of who's he. 1 Defeat and he's on the road already. Absolutely pointless fight for Brook. I suppose this is the calibre of rubbish we can now expect on Sky Saturday Night Fights.
I remember when they announced the AJ rematch in Saudi, Hearn said brook would be fighting on the undercard and then it went quiet The Khan/brook fight was a no brainer money maker so something wasn’t right on someone’s side Hearn should give brook a shot at the Vargas/García winner
Do Do Matchroom fighters serve bans? Sorry, let me rephrase that, has a Matchroom fighter ever publicly served a ban?
Hopefully he comes back shakes of ring rust, looks better than he did last time out and fights Liam Smith May or June at Anfield on Callums bill. I wouid bow rather see Brook v Liam Slith than Brook v Khan. One thing for sure if your heart isnt in the fight game anymore, a fighter who will find you out is Liam Smith. A true fighting man.
I really like Brook but he's been terribly mismanaged. He was put in with a very hard hitting granite chinned MW in GGG. One of the most irresponsible fights i've ever seen. If that wasn't enough straight after "recovering" he was put in with likely the top WW in Spence He's never recovered from that idiocy and he can only salvage a decent pay day with Khan now.
I would like to know where Brook has been. Looked impressive stopping Rabchenko and then struggled against a model and done **** all since.
TBF that model just knocked out a former World Champ quite decisively The Zefa fight was an unfair bench mark imo as he has showed he is better than his UK reputation was at that time Brook was however sluggish as hell from the 3rd round onwards
Brook is back with Ingle also now. If he just decided to crack on a year or two back he'd of already had a big fight. As it stands he's fought Rabchenko, Zerafa and now this guy next. Just a terribly managed fighter all his career.
You'd have thought Hearn would have secured him a world title fight at Light Middleweight by now But a big part of it.. is him always saying he'd still be able to get down to Welterweight. When he clearly he can't healthily do it.
I don’t think he wants any of the guys at 154. Wasn’t he made mandatory after his last fight for Hurd?
Brook looks like he's just going to fill his pockets fighting puddings, he probably knows he's done but wants a few paydays before he calls it a day. This fight could just be to see if he's got anything left, he looked a shadow of the fighter last fight. What has he been doing for a year anyway? Checking out the nudist beaches of europe.
Brook's career has been mostly tune up fights, so it's hard to know if this just another one to add to the list or is he still actually after a big fight and really does want this fight to blow off the cobwebs and tune up? Nothing wrong with that, if that's the case. What is wrong with it though, is it being the main event on a Sky Sports show. It's supposed to be a premium sports subscription they're selling. This is not premium boxing.
