    I’d normally agree with you, but you’re talking as if this is prime Brook, bud. I think this version of Brook is about 3 years past his best, with injuries to his eye sockets and the psychological effects of them injuries being quite significant with long gaps of inactivity. We’ve seen many examples of world class fighters suffering injuries and inactivity only to come back and get beaten by what would have been inferior fighters only a few years prior in their career.

    Although it was a nice finish and he landed some nice shots, I thought he got hit far too much against DeLuca, particularly to the body. He couldn’t step out of trouble quick enough. Zerafa also had success and Brook had to grind out an unconvincing win there, too, and that’s ignoring the 14 months of inactivity between the fights.

    Brook gets broken down by Smith imo for the reasons above. This isn’t 2014, this is a very different version of Brook.

    The only fight left is Brook v Khan at the York Hall on a Thursday evening, with a decent Heavyweight undercard, to interest the Sky Sports Viewers.
