    True.

  2. I'm not sure what the reasoning behind that was.

There can't have been any, surely?

Fair point but the elite consist of Floyd and Pac i.e. WBC and WBO champs, I think this fight will give the winner a high ranking with the IBF and WBA. This means that the winner won't be in with the elite next fight probably Senchenko (WBA) or Bailey/Jones (IBF). Its a doable path especially for Brook.

Well there was the classic three way rivalry between Burns-Martinez-Cook (a bit like Morales-Barrerra-Pac) :bbb

    It was the logical conclusion.

Very good fight - top two welters in Britain. After this Brook will have cleaned up the domestic scene (should he win!).

Purdy/Amar is good undercard fight as well. Purdy got found out a bit against Lynes and Amar's struggled to get decent fights at domestic level. Winner should be in a good position to fight for the British title.

Not expecting Barker's opponent to be anyone decent, just someone who'll give him a few rounds in a 10/12 rounder.

Rob about Barker/Murray...Richard Poxon of Hatton Promotions have being talking about it on twitter and Eddie seems a bit reluctant to make it atm since there'd be no title on the line. And if that fight ever did happen it's more than good enough to headline on it's own.

I don't think Rob meant for this card. But yeah definitely down the line (and much sooner rather than later) at least one of Barker, Murray and Macklin needs to happen hopefully.

If he doesn't fancy fighting Andy Lee, he definitely won't fancy Golovkin.

Unlike the alvarez fight hatton will try to come forward as he thinks he can beat brook, this will see plenty of openings for brook which he will take. Can't see hatton lasting the distance.

I see his corner pulling him out by the tenth having been outclassed and badly bashed up, cannot see one department where hatton is even close to brook!

Looking forward to this one. Brook should win without too many problems due to the extra class, but Hatton is definitely durable. It's a logical fight to have at this stage.

Why is Brook going by Jose Mourinho's moniker all of a sudden?

Oh, nice one. Should be a solid fight. Expect Brook to win comfortably on the cards.

There marketing it well IMO, War of the Roses stuff. Brook building up a fanbase slowly but surely and Eddie will be hoping Hatton does his part relying on the Hatton name shifting a few tickets plus Barker takes a nice following.

    edit:  'the special one'..
