Would the fight be in the US? If so I think Jones will start as favourite, but Brook will beat him handily.
I reckon it would be in the US. HBO or Showtime could pick it up and Jones has a decent following in Philly.
I hope making this happen doesnt turn into a long, drawn-out affair. I remember Warren mentioning Jones what seems like ages ago. Perhaps Kell would benefit from a tune-up 1st out in the US on an undercard.
It needs to be against good opposition that actually tests him, but time is ticking. I still ainst sure about this April 2nd card.
Ignore me mate, I was talking bollocks. I seemed to have forgotten everything that has happened over the past few weeks.
I would like to see Brook step the level of opponent up in at least one fight before taking on Jones.Sotto-Karass would be the ideal opponent so we could compare both fighters against the same opposition. From what i've seen so far though i think i'd take Brook to win atm in a close fight
Who has Brook ever outboxed? Show him a bit of movement and his succesful punch output dwindles. He also hangs his head up in the air whenever he pulls back from throwing. Awful, awful stuff. Unfortunately Rob seems to think he's the next coming of Christ off the back of nothing so he keeps getting thread time.
Hard to say, as Brook hasn't really fought anybody except for domestic level fighters. I do like the fact that Brook, for an Ingle fighter, has some fundamentals, like he can work openings off his jab, and there were some sweet cameo's from him in the Barrie Jones fight, and the way he set Kevin McIntyre up and took him out was impressive, but I do worry that he fights with his head a bit high, drops his hands around his chest, and leaves his chin out at times, that said, like everyone else, I am not convinced by Jones either, as his footwork is terrible, but at least he's shown good power, a lot of mental strength to come through his two fights with Soto Karrass, who is better than anyone Brook has beaten. This is a shot in the dark, as aside from his two fights with Karrass, I think I've only seen Jones one other time, and I can recall that fight, but I know even less about Brook above domestic level, so based on the mental strength Jones showed against Karrass, the fact he beat him, I would favour him slightly.
if jones landed only a fraction of the punches he caught karass with i could see brook getting stopped
