He seems to struggle more, but deal with them. How do you think he would have done against one of the better pressure fighters of recent times such as a prime WW Margarito? Cant think of any other ones. Ricky Hatton was too small imo.
I actually think he does well against that style. His counterpunching and jab are a nightmare for come forward fighters and he seems pretty durable, ties up well on the inside and stays composed when tagged. I think people look into the first Carson Jones fight too much, before he gassed Brook was winning every minute of every round of that fight. He looked to struggle more against Porter naturally because it was a step up in class
He didn't really struggle with porter though did he? He dealt with him in a pretty calm way alright holding isn't pretty but he made porter look pretty poor! Porter isn't the kind of guy you can go to war with you just have to be smarter and a better boxer!
Brooks inside holding up surprised me. I didn't think he be that good. He nullified porters inside game and phase 2 attacks. I actually think he perform well against pressure fighters his timing for them is a nightmare. khan has no holding ability whatsoever he will always struggle against pressure inside fighters. I thought the tactics were spot on from brook.
Compared to other Ingle-trained world champions Kell isn't that mobile, so its slightly easier to cut the ring off Once on the inside, Kell's infighting game isn't the most refined or adept & relies a lot on holding which some refs won't tolerate Its the worst stylistic match up for Kell
He did very well. Never looked in trouble against porter and nullified all of Porters attacks. I'd say he does very well against pressure fighters
