Stephen? Oneirokritis appears to be taking a huge, steaming dump on your head with this post. He really is rubbing your face in it and mocking you. Are you just going to take that?!

    Round 7 McDonnell 10-9 Close
    Round 8 McDonnell 10-9 Close
    Round 9 McDonnell 10-9 Very
    Round 10 McDonnell 10-9

Gavin lands heavier shots, Gamal is wilting, he's unloading on him, along the ropes, Gamal spins out tries to corner him, but Gavin slips out, hard one two to the body of Gamal, two right hooks from Yafai, Gamal looks tired as hell, Gavin coming forward Yafai wings with hook, misses eats an uppercut, he looked hurt, one two from Gamal, Gavin landing one two, Gamal wilting badly. He's on his way out. Gamal swinging like a madman missing everything. Huge round for Gavin almost a 10-8.

Round 10 McDonnell's best round. Zoning in with beautiful combos, letting them flow freely now. Yafai can't get away from the uppercut. Go easy on it McDonnell, I have a bit of money on you but most it on the over!

If Yafai can make it to the final bell, which is doubtful, this'll end in a draw.

Yafai's corner should pull him out.

The thing is the Alan fight wasn't awarded to anyone. It was ruled as a no contest.

What I don't understand is the people in here behaving as if Allen was a sure bet to go on to win the fight, completely overlooking what Thomas was doing to him and what he was likely to do to him, which was outbox and win on shut out.

Dave Allen was on his way to a hiding and that stoppage saved us from witnessing another predicable outcome which has been the same story through most of his boring fights where he is doing nothing more than plodding along whilst swinging wild haymakers every now and again in hope of the knockout.

Yafais problem is that he is incredibly small. If he was much bigger, maybe 4 stone heavier, he might win this fight. Just a thought.
