Not too well I fear. Point is Brook has not fought a live body, cream puff after cream puff. McIntyre has a glass chin, Elwell shouldn't have even be fighting for a Brit title and Lomax is pretty awful too.

Brilliant to see that Frankie Gavin has joined the forum:woot. Welcome and thank you for joining the list of British boxers that come on here to share their thoughts with us:good. Without asking you the same kind of questions like those above, can I ask who is your favourite current boxer and also your favourite boxer of all time? Also, do you plan on continuing to wear the awesome multicoloured 'Funtime' shorts you've been wearing recently? I think they are brilliant:good.

Really, the kid's only 19, fair enough a few more fights and he's had a couple of close/questionable decisions.IMO Alvarez(like brook) needs to prove himself against guys like hlatswayo, collazo and clottey Personally id like to see Alvarez vs Brook a few years down the line as it could be 2 of the top names then

I think Brooks really talented but don't see his style working at world class. He's very solid but his defence is leaky. He gets caught now and again. He's more Ryan Rhodes then Johnny Nelson/ Herol Graham, if you get me.. I think he'll take some beating but a lot of people have been quick to write off Jennings. I think he might beat Brook.

Another tantalising British title showdown on the Quigley-Smith Liverpool bill later this month pairs off unbeaten puncher Kell Brook with vastly experienced Michael Jennings for the welterweight belt held by Brook.
Jennings hopes that victory will secure him a quick second world title shot after Puerto Rican star Miguel Cotto halted him in five rounds earlier this year in Madison Square Garden, while Brook will have his own aspirations in that regard and needs to, given his big-punching reputation.
The Young Boxer of the Year from Sheffield has run out of peers willing to face him.
Enter Jennings, who has already held this belt and holds a one-sided decision win over Poland’s reigning European welterweight champ Rafal Jackiewicz (eight rounds). Michael has walked the walk, moves brilliantly and boasts great stamina, often dominating the later rounds of his fights. “The Lurcher” from Chorley really does constitute the acid test for the 23-year–old Brook, who we don’t even know can do 12 rounds (never done more than seven) or fight his way through a crisis, as Jennings once did in a rocky 12th round against talented Bradley Pryce. All we do know about the champion is that he is muscled, smooth-punching, whacks and is improving fast, although his defence can be a bit leaky and he has been down (one of those flash knockdowns).
"Kid" Kell won the British title by stopping tall Welsh southpaw Barrie Jones last year and has destroyed three good challengers to date – indeed, nine of his last 10 opponents – to secure a Lonsdale Belt for life. He took out another former British champion Kevin McIntyre in less than a round. His record is a flawless 20-0 (13).
The man who dropped Brook, by the way, Welsh-based Pole Karl David, was then hammered in three shockingly one-sided rounds in Wales.
For his part, Jennings came back from the Cotto experience with a stoppage of Northern Ireland’s previously unbeaten but untested Willie Thompson in Belfast. There is no reason to believe Michael is on the decline at 32 and 35-2 (17). Yes, Jennings lost his British title to a puncher in the Brook mould in that of Midlander Young Muttley in the Midlands back in 2006 - but only on a split decision and Michael has undoubtedly improved since then, punching down on his shots more, body and head. He came through a thrilling domestic war with Ross Minter.
While Brook has his ‘get out of jail’ power, long arms, surprising speed (shades of David Haye) and will always be dangerous in this one, I have a feeling Jennings boasts enough experience and boxing ability to retain his belt on a tight decision. Whatever happens, this is a fight to bring young Brook ‘on’ in the sport, a great-looking fight.

Lets see how he is against Jennings first, He needs to do a number on Jennings if he even thinks he wants to fight for a world title.

Brook does the switch hit just like Camp Ingle ingrained into Jr's/Prince's head which was a bad look vs Desert Storm & Barrera respectively. And at 5'8" with dense thick muscles, I can't see this kid getting down to 135 (maybe 140) so he will have to "man up" and hold serve against this new age of welter. The kid's only 22 so no rush but that chin tuck and shoulder hunch is not technical.

Also with Brook, i get the feeling it's the classic raw athlete syndrome. When fighters have/think they have that huge knockout power, which Brook doesn't, they don't seem to work on the defense and other aspects as much as the guy who can't punch who doesn't have any choice but to work on it.
