I hope its on tv cos i cant go to the fight. It will be a good one,i think Brook will probably win it but this is a much better opponent than some of the names that have been mentioned for his next fight.

  3. I think you are probably right, Although i'd fancy Mutley in the early rounds. Definate step up in class for Brook though.

Yeah good fight...Brook needs a couple more of these before bigger things. I wish Warren would do the traditional route to the title with Brook. Pick up the European title - it's so much better than rushing the WBO.

This should be a good fight and another decent test for Brook. Glad to see a Warren fighter actually facing a live opponent.

Interesting fight. I'd always found Mutley's style likeable: when he isn't beating the crap out of you, he tries to play pat-a-cake with his defence.

(Maybe I'm mistaking him for someone else; I can't check out youtube footage of him here.)

will be on sky friday fight night.

Brook really needs to step it up. To be honest i reckon Warren is going to start match his domestic fighters like Brook vs Jennings on the Khan undercard bills. domestic big fights is the only way he can generate interest and buffer cards without Cook and Enzo.

    Heard about this the weekend.

Brook was supposed to defend against Telfords Mark Lloyd originally but the BBBoC veto'd that so Brook fought Elwell. Then first team (the gym/promoter) behind Elwell, LLoyd and Mutley got the BBBoC to give Lloyd the shot. But its Sky who have now rejected him as an opponent thus Mutley gets it. Should be a good en! Will be Friday Fight Night, first time boxings been on TV at the civic since the Elcock McDermott fight. Cant wait!!

I think one or two of us were speculating about Sky's views on future opponents after the Elwell blow-out and some of the other mismatches recently.

This is a good match up though if Mutley gets up for it and prepares right. Brook gets to go to his oppo's back yard which keeps him on his toes too.

Will be interesting to see if tension between Warren's mismatches and joke titles and Sky's policy develops.

To be fair the card last week saw Cook and Mac matched in a way that Warren would have been rightly as it turns out, worried about in risky fights.

This could be the first decent test of his career.

He's had too many glass jawed easy touches that are in awe of him. Mutley is a strong guy with a punch, about time.

Good to see Brook step up his comp. I'm interested to see how well he does.

I'd also like to see him keep his ****ing chin tucked in.
