I am not arguing the fact thet Alexander has fought at a higher level, that can't be debated and he is a good fighter, it wouldn't be an easy night for either guy.

Everyone has to step up at somepoint and Brook is about to and not before time.

I have to disagree though as i feel that Brook is the better fighter and will be able to mix it with the best in the division, like i say he hasn't broken sweat in all but one of his fights and that one was a fitness issue, nothing else as he was picking Carson apart for the first 6 rounds, so even though the opposition isn't World level, he hasn't struggled with them which says he is good enough to step it up.

Bar the last few rounds against Jones, he's done everything expected of him. I think Kell is world class already, and would be more than comfortable mixing it with the likes of Alexander, Maidana and Khan

I would love to see him get a crack at Khan, the atmosphere would be electric and I do believe Brook has enough power to crack that peanut shell of a chin that Amir possesses.

Exactly, in an ideal world these should be brook's plans.

    1. Win the IBF off Alexander
    2. Fight Amir Khan in Sheffield and shatter that china chin or fight and finish Ricky Hatton. Anything domestic to become no.1 in UK and make big £££
    3. Unify with Paulie if he still holds belt by then if not whoever beat him

    Completely plausible

I agree with all of it with exception of defeating Alexander. I just don't see Kell as being able to knock off the young elite (however boring) fighter.

You consider Alexander elite? :think If he beat Bradley I could agree, but what wins does he have to put him on that level?

Alexander has lost every time he steps up to the top level, that doesnt make him elite

Agree, he isn't elite, he is World class though as is Brook.

Anyone who can move, fight smart, and throw a mere 30 punches a round will take Bailey out.

Brook vs. Alexander? Until proven, got to pick Alexander there.

Carson Jones is no journey man just an unfortunate boxer who had bad management earlier in his career by taking too many fights at short notice. looking at at records on this site and believing the maths that go with it is a big failing.

Look at Saldivia higher up the ibf rankings than Jones with less loses but got bash jabbed out the ring, whereas Jones pushed Brook all the way( which was partly due to Brook thinking he could get by on skill alone) but even without the prep he had for the Saldivia fight Brook would probably have finished the fight within 6 rds.

Honestly if boxing was like Real Steel your point might be legit(from a mechanically logical point of view)

i really hope the fight comes off as i have brook giving alexander a beating... but i don't think it's going happen, people. hearn will win the purse bids for the fight to take place in the UK, but alexander will drop the belt. he's not going to come over here. we all know how scared the americans are of leaving their own country.

hope it does happen, but really can't see it myself.

Meaning his name is up with the rest of the big fish from 140-147, he has defeated (or at least holds a win over) everyone he has fought, with exception of Bradley. Corley, Witter, Urango, Kotelnyk, Bradley, Matthysse, Maidana & Bailey is a hell of a resume since 2008. Which is back when he fought "Chop Chop" Corley in his 14th pro fight.
