Ezekiel "Kell" Brook Too brave for his own good You wanna leave history kid? Sometimes you gatta take the massive gambles, kid You gatta step right up and seize life by the balls Semi-shot Grandpa Marquez dared and achieved it by knocking prime roided to the gills Pacquiao out for two minutes Duran dared with Hagler and lived to see another day But GGG was a far more devastating fighter than Hagler and effectively ruined the best welterweight on the planet
I still believe Kell is the most underrated man in boxing, he was drained vs Spence and put up a good fight vs Golovkin, I firmly believe if not for those 2 eye socket injuries he would have lost a close decision to Golovkin and would have beaten Spence if he had enough time to drop down in weight.
Brook is a good fighter, very skilled. But he ****ed up his career with those last two fights, no doubt. His face is done for pro boxing on the highest level. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to the first big shots he received by Rabchanka tomorrow who can hit really hard and is going forward. Yes, Brook looked good vs GGG, was even leading on my card there, and yeah his shape vs Spence wasn't good enough to fight there on a competitive level but still it happened and he has to deal with it and it will be very interesting what happens tomorrow in Sheffield. I can imagine a lot of possibile outcomes there.
ha migh actually be true, but I am in no way bothered to find out. I'm not HG, hes just name I picked.
Like Kell or hate him, when all the top prime middles avoided close to prime GGG, Brook had the courage to move up 2 divisions to take him on. End of story.
Until the eye injury brook gave Spence his toughest fight, Brook vs garcia and thurman are all still 50/50 fights imo the only reason i would lean towards a garcia or thurman is purely based on weather his eye's can take further damage. He claims his doctor has said they are stronger than before, if that's the case i still see him as a top dog an welter if he can make the weight properly and not balloon up between fights and thus have to kill him self to get back down.
I've read plenty of your posts in the classic forum and here in the general and obviously I know you are a huge Herol Graham fan, and your username is obviously named after him. So don't try lie and claim you aren't bothered about Herol Graham
Brook looked the real deal. Seemed to have every attribute a boxer could want, skills in abundance. But unfortunately we'll never know what he might have achieved. Did it against one world level opponent, then instead of kicking on he dropped to a lower level and then went on his suicide mission.
brook took the ggg fight like a superhero, and when it started to go south he decided to come back down and cut his losses. same thing with spence. hes no more courageous or cowardly than the average fighter.
147 KILLED brook, here in the UK who went to the press conferences and weigh-in knew he was bad. I remember people hearing Kell say to his nutritionist when can he eat he is starving in the last press conference and being pissed off about the time and how long he has to wait. Also the 2nd day weigh-in was really another killer. he just had to much time off after GGG loss with his eye and he took ages to shed the weight -also he was ill at camp which stopped his sparring. I watched the spence fight again and to be honest a fit Brook is still a force at 147 or 154. Personally 154 be better for him and i actually think he give any the champs a good fight.
