Who knows, he has his all important matchup of the century v McGregor to sort out too so assuming he will wanna get back for that
I really hope this isn't true. Spence will be Brook's toughest fight, I really hope he isn't looking past him as there is a 50% chance he's going to lose. Doesn't give me a good feeling.
Kelly ain't gonna overlook Spence, to professional to do so. Fighting at bramall lane is a dream come true for Kell, he will do his best. His best will beat Spence.
If it really is Brook's toughest fight, then there isn't much hope for him coming out on top, and the US would have his next superstar. But you probably mean his toughest fight at 147. Looking past Spence is really dangerous though. Maybe the fight will happen win or lose (if it's Khan), but also nobody cares if Kell loses this weekend and any announcement would fall flat.
Should not even mention his next fight until he wins this one. Americans are giving Brook zero chance of a win.................however, I think Brook can win this fight..................
His next fight will be at 154 or even 160 after Spence beats him and he finds out 147 is no longer his weight. This may even be his last fight if Spence knocks the metal plate around his eye socket loose.
Nope I believe this is his toughest fight. I give Brook a good chance to beat Golovkin again if they face off. Without that injury he was winning the fight and had every chance to win over 12.
Hearn admitted yesterday that if Brook wins it will be Khan next- he also stated Sky could run six PPVs in three months (!).
You can't be serious! WINNING THAT FIGHT?! You must mean he was up on one very biased scorecard, and was getting blasted the entire round he finally got stopped in. If that is winning a fight, then the N'Dam/Murata fight was scored the way it should.
I've watched the fight many, many times as I have the HD recording saved to my PC. I was literally biting my nails as the fighters faced off until I saw then first round - Brook getting hurt at the start and then winning the remaining 2:30mins of the round pretty comfortable. I saw the difference in boxing skill between the two then and knew that Brook could win. This feeling was only amplified when Brook dominated round 2 and made Golovkin looks very slow, ponderous and confused. I've never seen GGG frustrated like that before, he was throwing wild wining punches and was getting hit with the counter-jab and combinations from the smaller but quicker Brook. The punch that caused the eye injury happened right at the end of round 2 and from there on Golovkin took over as Brook's vision worsened. That fight told me everything I needed to know that Brook can definitely beat GGG, despite fighting most of his career two weight-classes below. GGG wins on physical attrition, aggression, power. Brook wins on ability, distance, IQ, movement, variety. I really hope to see the fight again in the future, it was one of my favourite fights in 2016 and I think this weekend will be the best of 2017.
Looking past an opponent is always dangerous, but win or loose it's a fight that's always been on the horizon.... so it's maybe not as bad as some fighters in the past who have come undone when trying to plot the next move after the guy they are facing. Its a fight that sells regardless of if Brook gets beat again - I have a feeling he won't should be a cracker Saturday if Kell wins in style then and sings to fight Khan it will be Khan's last pay day. Earlier in their careers, I felt Khan could probably nick it but not now Spence looks to have done things the right way tho, good standard of opposition and then a couple of break out fights against capable tuff guys like Algeri and Bundu and he's blown them away. That said does he have another level, Khan and Brook at times have found it - lets see what this fella gunna be interesting for sure.
