Agreed. I have never been sold on him or the hype around him. He was always upright and with poor footwork when I watched him early doors and he would lean away from shots instead of moving his feet. He has improved, but his power is grossly overrated and I suspect his chin is dodgy, given that he was dropped by a very light puncher and has fought a whole host of guys who have barely a KO between them.
I'm surprised how many top 10 british fighters lists he used to make even before Jennings. Warren is moving him slowly and there is obviously a reason why. If the Jones fight comes off then he is done for at this rate.
Not sure about this. They tried to make the Jennings fight over a year ago. Injurys have delayed things. This is how warren does it with all his fighters. Cleverly seems to be the exception.
Probably right actually he spent a bit of time trying to get the Jennings fight going and the Bienias fight was decent. I'm a bit surprised Warren isn't matching him with names even if they are on the slide. The Lomax and a few previous fights before I think he could of been matched with other brit fighters of higher quality like Thompson or Theophane.
What a **** opponent! If he's in line for a world title shot then at least give him a fight that'll prepare him.
This was the opponent JUdah was scheduled to fight but he changed his mind and signed to fight Lucas matthysse
If they added the Khan bill to it, I would cough up the money for it. Im just not sure that would be possible. The split between Big Frank and Amir wasn't particularly amiable. I don't see how they will be able to come to terms on how to split the ppv revenue, Obviosly Amir will say people are paying to see him, while Warren will say it was his portion of the card that got people to shell out their hard earned cash. I just cant see how they will be able to do it
I think it's because no one really takes much of an intrest in Brook. Wheras Khan is a main event world champion. Personally, I won't take an intrest in Brook till he steps up. Fights like this are a waste of miles on the clock. If he's the world beater everyone claims he is why is he fighting stiffs?
The fight after this one has to be a step up in class. He is 24 and he has enough fights now. This would be the time to step up to the world level. If he is going to get a world title shot after this one, this wouldn't be the best preparation for it.
