He wants his next fight to be in Sheffield, in case you didn't know that's not in the USA.

 

Can't blame his for not fighting Alexander, Brook is only known by hardcore boxing fans in america and is only known here because of the lack of world level talent we have, Alexander isn't supported much in the US and next to no one knows him here, fighting each other will do nothing for either career, Brook should just fight some old name and wait for Khan, by then fighting people like Alexander would actually be worthwhile.

 

Of course every fighters ambition and mission is to have the big fights in America. But before that he has to build his profile up in the UK and around the world a little bit more before he is fighting in America regularly.

Also he sells out arenas in Sheffield and is becoming a bigger name while doing so, which is what Khan used to do as well.

Khan was the same, so explain to me why he fought Barrera, Kotelnik and Salita in the UK?

Remember Peterson and Khan negotiations also broke down before Khan fought Mccloskey for similar reasons.
