The man is the WW version of Clev. He has always been overrated. When you've had 25 odd fights and your coming out fights were against Matthew Hatton and Carson Jones (yeah, that's what I thought) you know you are being mollycoddled. Kell = All hype and no substance.
His opponents have been disappointing and now he has knocked back a title shot against Bradley. Its starting to get a bit boring with him now.
Said it all along. The worst thing is he parades that lucky bag ibf belt everywhere in sheffield and has got them all believing he is a genuine world champ.
Wonder what Eddie will say about this as he's constantly saying Matchroom will be making the best fights. Kell Brook vs Hector Saldivia or Kell Brook vs Tim Bradley
Been saying this about Brook for ages, and all we kept hearing for every fight was "he's ready for the next level now". Well, he's passed his mid 20s, almost 30 fights into his career, and still he's being treated as a prospect. What probably didn't help was the Carson fight. It's only gone and convinced Eddie more that he needs protecting still.
Come on he was never going to take the Bradley fight. Money was awful and he would have to travel to states - no bargaining power at all. Become mandatory - get Alexander over in UK. Then look on too Bradley etc. who was Hatton fighting in 25th fight - Jon Thaxton? Eamon Greaves?
What makes you think they'll get Alexander to come to the UK. He'll have to travel to the States for that, too.
It's frustrating as I've always thought a lot of Brook, but Hearn is doing the right thing by keeping him away from Bradley. The one good thing about him joining Matchroom is he's being promoted well and is being kept busy, if he doesn't fight Alexander/Bailey next I will no longer be a fan. As for people calling Saldivia a bum..thats nonsense, he's a solid operator.
Makes perfect sense mid to long term to avoid Bradley now. Makes more sense to go the IBF route as then a match up with Bradley down the line will be a unification fight ( hopefully ) and thus a lot more $$ and bargaining power. This is not a duck imo.
