Max Kellerman on Twitter just said 'After 4th, Roy Jones watched Brook in corner & told me "Brook giving up." Corner stopped prematurely to put responsibility on them #GGGBrook'

Interesting, and I guess it makes sense considering Kell's eye and his demeanor in the corner, I guess the corner wanted to make Kell look brave and for them to take the blame.

I don't believe that he quit. I think Ingle just stopped it.

i believe it. Kell did look like he was waiting for it to be stopped, and then does his girly mild protest. they knew a beating was coming & he couldn't hurt Golovkin.

Would not be surprised if the topic was discussed between Kell and his corner before the fight.

this wouldnt surprise me, if you remember in the 4th kell kept pointing to his eye

and he may have told the corner to stop it once ggg was starting to unlease, possibly true

guy is used to fighting cab drivers, i think he fought 30+ cab drivers before this fight so can't expect him to mix it with the best and not be uncomfortable

I agree. They probably did have a talk and agreement before the fight about stopping the fight before any real damage was done.

You know, kind of thought the same thing as well. Brook and his team already know they're going back down in weight anyway, so the idea might have been " if things get rough, why risk a brutal end?"

brook repeatedly pointed to his eye to let the corner know it was damaged, he knew what he was doing...

    Idk, ask RJJ...

Kell must've told his corner to throw in the towel if things went badly in the 5th, so I guess no a quit outright, but it's not like the cornerman just randomly threw in the towel to screw over Kell like a lot of people are claiming.

Look, if Kell TRULY thought it was an early stoppage, he'd be screaming for a rematch... but he isn't.

Golovkin looked like a hack, Brook won one round and, predictably, got stopped. The one thing Brook was confident in though, was that he is NOT going to continue at MW.

Tbh anyone with half a brain would quit if they were in the ring with Golovkin with they had a damaged eye.

Your eye is already damaged so you're not gonna see punches coming and Golovkin is gonna hit you again and again on an already damaged eye. Unless you're looking to become a cyclops, quitting is the only realistic option.
