Kell vs Khan is NOT a fight worthy of Wembley!

I think they could do 60000 if they both fight a solid top 10 opponent in December and look good in winning. There is still fallout from the magnitude of the Froch Groves fight which had unbelievable atmosphere, this would be the third person in sales. Unfortunately however the magnitude and excitement would never be the same and it makes you think why not just do it at a stadium up North like Old Trafford, much closer to both fighters homes. I'm from West Yorkshire and know plenty of people who would go Manchester but not to London. If they want to rival Froch Groves they need Quigg Frampton on there as well!

The thing is if the rumours about Kell are true he would have a massive following with the Gay community just look what happen to Frank Maloney his popularity is soaring..

Massive UK fight, but it doesn't put 80,000 arses on seats.

Brook-vs-Khan is worthy of any stadium in the UK..but it would not sell out Wembley. Add to that the fact that both lads' fan bases are South Yorkshire and Greater Manchester, and the logical choice would seem to be Old Trafford (to be fair, a fellow poster on here suggested it as a potential venue before I gave the place a thought..and in my opinion, it is a good call).

There is no way that Khan fights Bradley next. Khan's next opponent will probably be another low-key, low risk opponent..and Bradley is hardly that!

I very much doubt that Brook fights Rios either, but Brook-vs-Rios is much more likely than Khan-vs-Bradley.

My guess (and it is only that) is that Kell will fight someone like Decarie (my money is on good ol' Fast Eddie throwing a curveball of a no-name as Kell's voluntary).

    This.

    Especially down the smoke!

Do you think it could do 50-60 thou at Old Trafford, Furey mate?? For what it is worth, I do.

The fight sells already without Khan having to fight the likes of Bradley.

Amir Khan is a big name here already and has been for some time.

Brook's name is getting bigger and bigger - he now holds a world title, has headlined shows etc.

It's not a fight that sells out Wembley for me, I can't see 80,000 people turning out for that fight like the Froch/Groves rematch.

However it is still a stadium fight.

Yeah it is a massive fight, I do think it could pull off 50/60k at Old Trafford especially if it's promoted & hyped properly - especially with it being in Manchester... not to far from Sheffield or Bolton.

I do think Hearn is right in wanting Khan and Brook to share the same bill December 6th, that will definitely generate more interest and would do the hype machine the world of good.

If it get's made I'll definitely be there!

That was a celebrity thing. Both Haye and Audley are celebrities. People's grandmothers with no interest in boxing know who they are. Only people who properly follow the sport know who Kell is.

Look at all the publicity BS Froch had to do to get public recognition.

Yeah, got to remember Haye is very very well known among non-boxing fans & Audley had his early fights on the BBC so was also very known.

    Why Wembley?

Bolton fighter Vs Sheffield fighter, surely an Old Trafford fight anyway?

Khan/Brook wouldn't even fill out the MEN, IMO.

Haye/Harrison = Both were celebs and both were well know. Plus they're HW's, and anything can happen when HW's slug it out.

Haye/Chisora = It was massive because of the exposure the tabloids gave it because of that fight.

Khan/Brook = They said they hate each other on Ringside, which means it will sell out Wembley.

Khan doesn't even pack arenas over here, nor does Kell.

Kell sells out Sheffield arena. Something khan cannot.

But that is largely irrelevant, groves next fight has sold around 70% of the tickets and his last 2 fights sold nearly 100k tickets with him as the b side to the main event,so it's more about the event than the individuals

Two northerners, I reckon OT would be perfect but I wouldn't rule out Wembley.
