    Golovkin would be foolish to
Golovkin would have been foolish to allow this fight to go to the scorecards .

Had that happen tonight , Golovkin deserve to lose this fight .

Brook might have won 2 rounds but that's it. He was getting pummeled by the 4th round. He made a good effort but it never looked like he was gonna win past the 2nd round.

APart from round 2 you dunce he didn't win any rounds. Not like it matters, Kell was never going to survive the 12, GGG knew that from the first punch he took from Kell, it felt like nothing to him.

That simply isn't true, watch it again. He got stunned and held on for a few seconds, recovered well and came back strong. His best moments of the round actually came after he was wobbled.

Even if you buy that, it means about as much as Gamboa winning early vs Bud and Khan doing well early vs Canelo. Hard to give it any real weight when the bigger guys really didn't care all that much if they got hit.

Even in the first round when I saw Brook getting hurt by that body shot I knew that was it, there's no way this fight is lasting 12 rounds. It's only when he landed some good uppercuts I thought MAYBE it's possible that he somehow manages to hurt GGG.

Any of you that are trying to spin this as an early stoppage, or saying "too bad the eye didn't hold up" are insane. It's like saying "too bad Khans chin didn't hold up, he was giving Canelo a boxing lesson" It's hilarious when people use dumb logic to make a point. For Canelo and GGG, they were both fighting guys who were much faster... but smaller. GGG is willing to take a shot because he gives better than he gets. Even the jabs GGG were throwing were snapping Brooks head back ffs.

If the corner hadn't stopped it, Brooks career could have ended. He was getting stopped 100%. GGG looked awful, but he did what he was supposed to do... win by stoppage. Those judges that gave Brook round 1 are ridiculous. He convincingly won round 2, but it doesn't matter because Golovkin won round 5 and that is the only round that matters. Brook has a chin doe!

i thought the scoring was done through british eyes, but i dont think it was preposterous either. it is a bit of a trend, though.

turns out he was only ahead on one scorecard, 39-37.
So if the fight had continued, there had been a couple of likely scenarios.
    1) Brook had kept himself together and kept the damage in check, only losing the round 9-10 > behind on 2 scorecards, 1 in front.
    2) The beating had commenced, leading towards a 10-8 with or without KD or even a 10-7 > behind on 2 (or all) scorecards, maybe one level.
    3) Same as 2, but with substantial more damage to the right eye, making it very unwise to send him out for the 6th.
    4) Brook got taken out or the referee had stepped in.

All of these would have led to big problems for brook. Either being behind and having taken substantial damage, or being taken out.
