For me, it's clearly Kellerman. He has really proven himself over the years as a guy who knows how to handle post fight interviews and his quarterbacking of the Face Offs are amazing. He isn't a boxing expert per se in that he never fought or trained but he never tries to come off as one during his commentating. He goes with what he knows and what that is is a guy who is on top of the current boxing situation.

Merchant is good for a good quote or two per fight and that's about it.

    Thoughts?

Max is a clueless robot who relies on a teleprompter and a Jew writer for his commentary.......Larry is a vet and tells the the writer to get him a vodka on the rocks and that he'll kick his ass if he sees another flashing blue screen in front of him.:deal

Kellerman....merchant is too old, stale and isn't good for the sport, he doesn't seem to appreciate the fighters....he is also just too old...look at a recent interview of his and count how long it takes him to get out a simple 8 word question...

    Kellerman talks sense

Merchant rarely does, he's kind of like the lovable drunk uncle who isn't really good for much, but since he was around during the war you have to put up with his shite

Merchant is the only good thing about HBO.

HBO should keep Merchant & RJJ and get rid of everyone else behind the mike.

HBO should've gotten rid of Merchant a while ago. Ironically, Floyd Mayweather maybe the biggest reason he still has a job. Out of all the big PPVs this year, Mayweather/Ortiz will be the only one Merchant does.

Larry Merchant is at ATG commentator and much better than Max Kellerman, although he's getting very old.

Like a journalist said when HBO first starting using Kellerman, replacing Merchant with him is like replacing Picasso with the guy who does Elvis paintings outside of Graceland.

I think we need them both, Larry(I cant stand his ass ) Merchant is a talking history book and losing him is like losing the flavor part of the commentaries.Max is hip hop and he knows how to ask the questions that are relivant to that generation. Lampley is a ***** in heat and Mannys 20/20 hindsight make me want to strangle his ass.Roy is cool and Lederman is just Lederman. I know I went off thread but what the hell.

Merchant's negativity drags down pretty much every broadcast he's on these days.

Kellerman all day everyday. Says what he means and does not seem biased.
