Merchant is a mean old ******* sometimes. I like when he doesn't feed the fighter's egos.

Kellerman is too agenda filled and over does it with the superlatives for my liking. See him trying to push his thoughts during the Hopkins-Dawson fiasco? Which imo was a result of the fact he has so much admiration for Hopkins, not actually telling it like it is. Hopkins had to of been the victim for Kellermam, cause Hopkins cant be seen to of packed it in when he could of continued, not in Max's eyes anyway.

You absolutely must be kidding. You must.

Max Kellerman is so embarrassing he makes me hide behind the sofa. His behaviour on Face/Off is appallingly bad, the guy is a complete and utter tool.

Larry Merchant has more boxing knowledge, intelligence, personality and panache in his left bollock than Max Kellerman will ever have in his entire body.

Kellerman belongs on the WWE. At least Merchant isn't dangling from the nuts of every prospect in town. Face-off is so over dramatic cheesy that I can't watch it. The idea is good, but instead of getting into any kind of technical analysis it just descends into it's own backside. The close-ups, the quivering looks, the Who Wants To Be a Millionaire style sound effects and that contrived "sitting on a chair backwards" motif make it so cringeworthy.

Merchant is a breath of fresh air. He doesn't tow the line and he corrects/ criticizes the other commentators if he disagrees. He's like the American version of Jim Watt!

No, but there's countless hours worth of video evidence of him being a dried up douchebag.

Larry couldn't carry Jim's jock strap.

For all this talk of Kellerman not having "paid his dues" - wtf are Merchant's credentials supposed to be? Oh, he was a hack sportswriter? Great. Never boxed or coached a day in his life? Hmm...

Watt's opinions & insights as a former world champ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anything to spew out of the brains of those armchair pugs Merchant & Kellerman combined.

(and all things being equal, with neither having an athletic background to draw an understanding of the sport from...Merchant can't **** with Kellerman's notoriously large boxing video library or scholarly sponge-minded approach to the game's history. He's content to just formulate his ideas based on his intuitions - what he's "seen" and "felt" over the years. Well, what damn good are his intuitions? All anyone can come up with for why he's more qualified is "experience". Well - OK...wtf were his qualifications when he was Max's age? :hi: Yeah. None. You don't get rewarded with automatic respect for just "having been around for a long time".)
