No one is laughing at roy Jones though are they, and if they are then they are not true boxing fans in my eyes.

I agree that many fans do look at it that way, but should his legacy really take a big hit for these losses while shot? I always feel that RJJ gets underrated these days, losses taken when clearly done / shot should not count that significantly against a fighter IMHO. I prefer to remember the achievements of a fighter and what they do once old and shot is of little interest to me.

I think time will smile more kindly on RJJ. Muhammad Ali is not remembered for losing to Berbick, Holmes, or Spinks … and I don't think people hold these against him much; he was clearly done by then.

Then I feel sorry for them, if they laugh at a legend for clinging to the sport and the lifestyle he loves at the potential expense of his health, that man never damaged his legacy. That’s not even possible.

Pac was blatantly robbed un the Floyd fight by
Floyd , Bob Bennett & the NSAC Vegas boxing & USADA. Did anyone ask if Floyd ticked the right box & that's why he got that TUE three weeks after being caught cheating ???
Mayweather:pipiPacquaio & it aint even close I'm sure PimoC is really Leonard Ellerbee the way he idolises that little cheat

Why don't you quote the most popular score? 116-112 twice... I mean, if you're gonna use scorecards as the end all.

    Dummy.

And why don't you mention Floyd's obvious doping?

They would also be factually incorrect.

Mayweather debuted at 19 years old in the SuperFeatherweight division. He then fought guys like Reggie Nelson and struggled at 19. Reggie Nelson is like 10-50 career record by the way.

Meanwhile Pacquiao at 19 was knocking out the best Flyweight in the world for the Lineal 112 pound title.

8 division world titlist and a better resume. Anyone who is knowledgeable and not biased has Pac ahead of FlIVd. FlIVds resume doesnt hold up on close inspection.

The comparison doesn’t hold up well, Kiwi; Ali was not knocked unconscious by one single punch thrown by a man he had just beaten months prior. Not only that, but Ali had been in many wars prior whereas Jones probably hadn’t even been hit clean 50 times in his entire career up until then.
Also, let’s throw in that it’s often the case that when a formerly great champ gets beaten into submission it’s usually by a future great champ on his way up, like Holmes. In Roy’s case, Tarver was always known as an underachiever who would go on to be pretty unspectacular other than his rematch with Roy.
