he really used it well vs Lopez and then again in his last fight he should keep it up give some one something to watch for before sticking them with the right
This is the first thing that came to my mind as well. Hopkins completely exploited the fact that Kelly had no left hook, or if he did, he had no idea how to utilize it. Garcia's not stupid, and I know he saw this as a significant weakness in KP's game.
You back already or are you sitting on a beach with a drink that has a little umbrella and pieces of fruit hanging out all over it? Boo pretty much answered it in the first. Seckback posted a video of Garcia working with Kelly where Kelly through nothing but lefts. I think two hooks up and then a hard dig to the body. Like I said before, had Kelly landed the right they would already have congressional hearings about having pros fight with amateur rules.
And that pipe wrench was like 10-15 feet from the ring and sitting right behind Roy Jones Junior. :yep guitar)
If I was already on my honeymoon, Kelly's hook would be the furthest thing from my thoughts. :yep Even my obsession with boxing has its limits.
Go look at the Alfonso Lopez fight... Pavlik won that fight (barely) with pretty much left hooks alone. Seemed like he couldn't land a right hand to save his life but the hooks were bouncing off Alfonso's skull on the regular... And he wasn't even with Garcia yet :think And another thing I think is worth mentioning -- and this is just a personal observation -- is that Kelly's right hand hasn't looked all that great since the first fight with Taylor. He used to throw that thing with scary force and if you look at some of the slowmo replays from that fight, you can SEE the intent he had behind it. It's something I've looked for in him since and he just hasn't had it.
Kelly is going to be even faster June 8th! Big 3-2 combos coming! HE will be doing the Classic Mickey Ward, Head, Body, Body, Head!
I have a dream: Someday, old dudes will be sittin out on a front porch somewhere reminiscing about the great left hook artists of their time-Frasier and Pavlik.:thumbsup
