Please don't quote him. He is on my ignore list. I don't want to see what this troll has to say anymore.
Yes, but they deserve respect, kinda like TFFP did before we converted him. This noob is just a moron, and yes, I ask several direct questions and issued a few challenges. He responded with anger and name calling.
I am sorry but your repetitive statement of how AA hits "air" is utterly incorrect. AA is one of the more accurate punchers we have in boxing, add power to his accuracy and you have one dangerous fighter in front of you. The only reason he is hitting air is if his opponent is hurt or if arthur does not respect the opponents power. I am sorry but tyson was also a short fighter and was shorter then 99% of his opponents, tyson had **** stamina and **** defense. Arthur has excellent defense, with average stamina.
The original point was that Pavlik would fight on the outside. If he does this with his longer reach, even if Pavlik is only hitting gloves, then AA will be hitting air because of the distance. You came up with this idea that Pavlik would be better to fight on the inside. I think that is your dream so that he gets in range, not the reality of what this fight would be. Pavlik knows how to 'fight tall'.
in my eyes, miranda got the JOB in germany against aa the first time. If miranda would of got the win then pav would now have another belt. then nobody would even know who aa is.
I have the raw footage of that fight. Every time someone starts with the low blow crap I just laugh. They should have just DQ'd Miranda for excessive force when he broke AA's jaw and gotten it over with then.
We are talking about reach and controling distance. Pavlik prefers to fight tall, and use his jab/right-hand to control the distance. Arthur has to find a way inside that, or he won't have anything to hit other than air. And please stop going on and on about Arthur's defense. We've seen fighters who are nowhere near Pavliks level break through it.
Well it is obvious the pavlik fans don't think very highly of arthur, and according to you guys, pavlik will have a pretty easy night against arthur, myself, I think highly of the 2 best middleweights and respect them both for there accomplishments(in the case of arthur, according to majority of the posters on ESB he does not have many). May the best man win if they ever matchup, hopefully soon. :good
Well -- styles make fights, and I do not think highly of Arthur's chances against Pavlik, but you can't say I don't show AA respect. I've been right there backing your boy up on the Abraham/Froch thread for the same reason I'm confident KP will beat him; styles make fights. When the news of the Miranda rematch broke I loaded heaps of praise on Arthur. He took a rematch in Mranda's front yard, and cleared up a lingering controversy. That took guts, and I've always given him credit for that.
I've not much time at the moment, because I'm moving from a flat into my own house and have to take care of my little twin babies at the same time. I frequently repeat myself when I say that AA would win against Kelly, because contrary to Boo's and Hermit's oppinion I don't think that Kelly would fight smart enough to win (which he could if he does fight smart for 12 rounds). Kelly uses his height advantage, but often also likes to "play" with his opponents - like against Rubio. If he would become careless against AA he'll definitely get caught with something big. I think he would become careless. To sum it up: if Kelly has the right gameplan and sticks to it, then he wins - if not, he lose by KTFO (even if he has a solid chin). EDIT: Of course it would be really surprising to see AA winning by decision or Pavlik by KTFO. I still hope that the fight happens... It would be one hell of a fight between two real fighters.
Thanks The last year was a good one for me. Without my new job I still would see my wife only at the weekends and now, within one year, everything has changed. The birth of our two children, the chance to buy a house, seeing each other every day - I'm a lucky man :thumbsup Boo, do you think there's still a chance that the fight between our two favorite fighters might take place? I'm very pessimistic at this point of time.
I'm very frustrated with both promoters. I just have no freaking clue what Arum thought he was doing when he post-poned Pavlik/Mora. The last thing I heard was that Sauerland and Abraham said they would be fine with a December or January date. I do not know the current status of Abraham/Lorenzo, but I heard that was in jeapordy as well. At this point I'm losing faith in AA/KP happening at 160, but this is boxing, anything can happen.
