I've seen **** all of Lopez so my opinion is completely worthless. You have just wasted 5 seconds of your life reading this post.
if Pavlik wins i get the feeling they will go right into the Bute fight.... I feel maybe Pavlik's team is too hungry for another big payday to the detriment of their fighter.......I'd rather not see his first fight back after all these problems and at a higher weight vs a guy who is an unknown quantity. Why not take some known quantities and see where you are at? Because they don't want to wait 18 months for a big payday, they want get it in 2011.
Pavlik vs Bute would be such an interesting fight. I think at the end of it we'd still have as many questions about the winner as we did at the start.
The guy has no defence. Pavlik by brutal KO. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrX4sZwfgsU&feature=related[/ame]
Pavlik by KO/TKO 1-2 rounds from the time he decides to switch gears. Highlight reel right hands. Lopez has NOT felt pressure from world class fighters, and Pavlik has certainly been there with the best of them. I don't expect Pavlik to go for the KO right away, he'll be there to get some rounds and lead according to plan. Confidence back - check.
http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=293635 :hat A dangerous choice my ass. Pavlik MUST finish him at most within 4 rounds.
This fight is really just a prelude to a real tune-up. It would be unrealsitic to expect more when Pavlik will be at his highest weight ever, 13 months from his last fight, and coming off a loss. Instead of picking on some journeyman with a 60% win ratio Team Pavlik picked an undefeated light heavyweight with a 76% KO ratio. Give credit where it's due!
Knowing that Kelly's sparing partner is Lopez's last 'victim' I'll have to go with the 'victim's' assessment. jsimps. That kid come back for day two?
