Kelly Pavlik and Miguel Espino is a PPV FIGHT???

FNF is off season, Versus is, unfortunately, getting out of the boxing business, and a Top Rank PPV pays better than either. In addition this Latin Fury card was already in the works when the orgs started treatening to strip KP, so it was the easiest way to throw something together quickly. Pavlik couldn't even put a glove on until 2 weeks ago, and he had to start sparring with 18 oz gloves. Ya, it ****ing sucks ass, but that's reality.

You know what i find this strange Kostya was out like 2 years i believe and he still holds the ibf junior welterweight title belt. But the wbo and the wbc is theatening Pavlik that he'll be stripped since his last fight was in feb of 09? Something fishy.

Lol well it is strange. Vargas was out for a year and when he came back from a year later to fight De la hoya, he still was the wba junior middleweight champion. I forgot is Espino rank top 10?

Consistency was never a big part of how the ABC's work. DLH was able to get away w/o fighting a mandatory for years. Hamed was able to do the same. No rhyme or reason.

 

Espino is not a good fighter.

 

Kostya got away with it. Hell Kostya should have been out for 5 years and he would still hold the ibf junior welterweight title belt. And Kostya is not a draw power like De la hoya was.

They were irked they weren't getting part of the money Kelly was going to get fighting Williams. They probably thought he could just put together another big fight and they would make some decent cash off of him. Didn't work out that way.

Kelly, drop the damned ABC belts and stick with the Ring Belt for now.

 

It doesn't shock me Bob Arum would make this PPV. My question is what is the lowest buy rate which would make a fight money on PPV? Is it that cheap to put PPV fights on nowadayss? If so then I can see why Arum would do this.

 

We had the Versus double header with B-hop & Roy Jones, We got 5 fights this weekend! Just do like everyone else and don't buy it.
