    I have seen Kelly at the Top Rank Gym many times. Let me tell you that the moment he walks in the door any fighter from 154 to 190 clears out. If you think Kelly is a beast at 160 you should see him when he is at his walk around weight. At 175lbs or so he is twice what he is at 160. Stronger, faster, better chin, and even more active.
    If he moves to 168 he will clean house. He will walk down Calzage from the opening bell. He may fall behind early but I am convinced he will grind Joe down and stop him sometime between 6-8 rounds.

    I would like someone to tell me who Calzage or Kessler has beaten that makes you think either could beat Kelly Pavlik. I think both are good fighters, but Pavlik could very well be something special. One thing is for sure. Kelly beat the man that beat the man. Not be close decision, but by convincing KO. His KO's of Taylor and Miranda are more impressive than anything accomplished by either Kessler or Calzage. Who did either of them beat that was so special? Did they beat some good fighters? Hell yeah. But the manner in which Pavlik disposed of Miranda and Taylor was far more impressive than anything they ever did. PERIOD! As i said before... Kelly beat the man who beat the man. He beat a young, undisputed, undefeated champion in Taylor who himself beat the most succesful middleweight of all time in Bernard Hopkins. He also destroyed Miranda who was at the time thought to be the juggernaut of the contenders. Kelly Pavlik KO's Calzage n Kessler!

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Really. I like Pavlik;I'm a fan. But to say Pavlik walks through Joe is a ****ing joke.

    Like Calzaghe will be standing in front of him all night.

    Pavlik,I'm afraid,would get humiliated.

    I'm a big Pavlik fan as well but I think you have to base fights on styles and Calzage would just be to fast, to expierenced and to skilled for Kelly

    Calzaghe would defeat Pavlik at this point. Cal still appeared strong and fast at his ripe old age and oft pushed around the bigger Kessler. Not yet Kelly....not yet.

    The fact that some pick Cal. and others Pav. indicates interest. I would love to see them fight eachother. They both come to fight, both undefeated and size up well together.

    Look, Hopkins is a boring guy. He may or may not win against Cal. but one way or the other it will be boring. Against Pav. you know you are going to see an interesting give and take competitive fight.

    Pavlik is not ready for Joe yet.

    Joe is too smart for Pavlik. Pavlik needs some more fights and by that time it may be too late.

    Calzaghe beats Pavlik by UD.

    I haven't seen Calzaghe fight that much but he was impressive this weekend. Still, I wouldn't say he would destroy Pavlik. I think it would be an incredible fight. Joe has more speed but I don't think he is as fast as Taylor, but he is a much better boxer and on a different level than Taylor. HOwever, because of the sheer number of punches Pavlik throws and that is does have good power, I see it being a great fight. Even though I am a huge Pavlik fan, I would probably favor Calzaghe if the fight went the distance but like all of Pavlik's fights, thats never a gurantee. I don't think Calzaghe has the power to knock out Pavlik but he has a style to give him fits. I think it would be one of the best fights available to make.

    Joe has nothing in his arsenal to keep Kelly off of him. This would be a typical Pavlik fight: back and forth for a few rounds, Kelly steps on the gas in round 5 or 6, Joe goes down and stays down in 7 or 8; just another pavlik victim. I doubt this fight ever happens given joes history of picking opponents, but if it does I am not going to be humble and nice like I was when Kelly beat Taylor. I'm gonna be on hear screasmin' I TOLD YA SO every ****ing day for a month!
