thats true but if pavlik can become a better fighter something needs to happen. right now he's a 'got the title, lost the title' fighter and thats the best he can hope for at the moment.

maybe. i agree he needs to come back with the same fire he had during his run up to the taylor fight. flaws aside there was no one at mw who could keep him off them at that time.

From the fall of 2005 through the spring of 2008 Kelly Pavlik was the best middleweight in the world. I do not care how many Abraham nuthuggers want to dispute that. It's not debatable.

Right now I understand why TR and Dunkin want him to stay at 160. Martinez, Williams, Sturm, Pirog, Pavlik, Golovlin, N'Jikam, Macklin, Lemieux, et al. If one man can emerge as the dominant champ over the next couple years, that man makes a SHITLOAD of money, and goes in the IBHOF.

this is true. and the thing is...IF and that is a big IF...but IF kelly can make 160 with the help of the nutritionist and be peak, he can beat all these guys. i know everyone is riding pirog and rightfully so. but damn, pirog is 30 years old and knocked out an over hyped 23 year old who was asking for that right hand all night the way he was backing straight up to the ropes. so outside of pirog, who is there who can beat kelly if he is peak at 160?

honestly, kelly knocks them all out. martinez ud's them all as well and may even stop a few w/ some sneaky shots they don't see coming. yes there are some promising guys. but promise is all any of them have right now. none of them have been in the ring w/ the talent that paul, kelly and sergio have been in with.

I do not think Martinez can beat Paul Williams, and I do not think PDub can handle Pavlik's right hand, or stay out of harms way. We may never see Pav at 160 again, but if he can make weight and be at his best, he'll be "THE CHAMP" again.

Froch, Kessler (if he comes back) and probally Bika would beat Pavlik.

He has no skills and his best win is Taylor, another AmeriCAN fighter.

B-Hop was the last big thing at Middleweight, Taylor and Pavlik are frauds. I like Martinez but does not feel like a real MW he just step up and school a weak champion.
