http://www.teampavlik.com/home.html i guess there is some "ring of honor" banquet or something in Ohio that costs $105 per ticket. if i lived in the area, it would be cool to go to since I'm a big fan of both Pavlik and Mancini. but what struck me as odd is, i kept reading through the description to see what charity or whatever this is for. but i guess it is just to line their own pockets. hey, i'm all for capitalism (and I'm sure Pavlik himself wasnt exactly planning this thing, anyway), but this strikes me as really tacky and just "cashing in" thoughts?
fair enough. dont mean to be hating on KP or the event, just seemed like a "fund-raiser" type of deal and i was surprised it wasnt for some charity. that said, maybe it is and just didnt say there
:-( please before you go and say things that you do not know of find out more info......it is a charity fund raiser half goes to dante delsignor who has bone cancer and the rest goes to charitys that he picked out .... believe me they do not need to line their pockets... and yes pavlik did want this to help out dante ....
glad to see. KP is one of the classiest guys in all of sports, so thats why i was surprised originally. curiously, the announcement on Pavlik's website doesn't say anything about it being a benefit (even though it SEEMED like a charity thing), so that's why I posted it on here. Now we know. I wasnt trying to slander KP, believe me
And don't forget he didn't make ungodly $$$ for KOing Taylor. I measely $1.25 mil, which after taxes & after paying everyone, he's still not rolling in $$$. You think Boom Boom & the others show up for free? I don't think so... Yes sir! Kelly cares about others more than he cares about himself. God bless this dude! "Proceeds will benefit Dante DelSignore and other needy people to be selected by Pavlik and his attorneys."
