Yes, low ball. Your opinion of what Winky is worth doesn't agree with what Winky thinks he's worth. Top Rank knew that Winky would reject the offer, afterward they did nothing to augment negotiations. Top Rank didn't want Winky as an opponent, the proof is in the results. Top Rank is willing to throw outrageous money when they're cherry picking, and they make low ball offers when they aren't interested in fights. You are aware of how Top Rank operates? They've been doing this **** for years, I'm sure you know this.

Kelly and Jack on the other hand, were more than happy to take the Wright fight. They wanted the fight.

You are the one that called him a trainer of champions. I merely pointed out he trained 'champion' right out of them.

I have no clue as to whether Enzo has any musical abilities. He has show some improvisational skills in helping Joe get out of the Pavlik fight, though Joe didn't look good doing it. :bart

Again, Winky doesn't see it that way, and Top Rank knows goddamn well.

    Pavlik ducks nobody. That's obvious.

Which is no where near the point of what money was available. And Winky's opinion of what he is worth doesn't seem to be in line with any one elses other than his own at the moment. Again, do you really think Palvik should have taken less? My math shows it was a tad under a 60/40 split. .375 to be exact. Plus PPV.

Until recently I thought there were two important fights at 160; fights that needed to happen. Pavlik/Abraham and Pavlik/Winky. A cut of the PPV revenues and a guaranteed $1.5 million is a very good offer for a fighter in Winky's current position. When Wright turned that down, he made himself irellevant.

True, Wright's ego doesn't quite match up with reality. Very true. He's dug himself a hole.

Winky Wright was a 154 pound fighter...and does not have the kind of power Pavlik has. The question to be asked is : WHY WOULD A GREAT TRAINER LIKE FREDDIE ROACH HAVE NO MORE FAITH IN HOPKINS PULLING IT OFF ? Roach is no fool........

Same question was asked about Jermain's trainer before he met Hopkins the first time yet he won. Pavlik needs to keep his activity up in this one and just keep throwing and throwing, if he waits then he loses this one like Tarver did.

I'm picking Hopkins by decision based on Pavlik's style if Hopkins can stay active enough at this age.

    Good point. ^

Roach has been acting a little demented lately, not that I disagree. But he's been 'unstable' let's say.
