I'd like to see him fight a few stiffs and regain his confidence. NO PUNCHERS. NO SLICK BOXERS. NO IRONCHINNED FIGHTERS. Just strictly the Cclass guys that he can take out in a few rounds.
2-3 of those type fights then maybe a step up vs an Aaron Pryor or a Fenando Zuniga or Jesse Brinkley.
Let's see how he looks in terms of fluidity before testing him against the fringe contenders. I know he's so ****ing money hungry because he once was a mil+ fighter, but he's gotta settle for these 30-40K fights to prove he is hungry again. If he spouts off about fighting Cunningham for peanuts again, his fanbase will be GONE.

And to Rustbelt......I think his fans are jumping ship because he thinks he's worth $$$$ when he's yet to prove himself in the past 2 yrs.:think

 

Personally ive never been a fan of Pavlik just refused to buy into the hype

but I do wish him the best and hope he can make some what of a comeback but also that he shouldnt get a free pass with judges because he has a name in boxing like other fighters seem to get

Id like to see Pavlik - Cunningham purely because of Pavliks lay off then take on Brinkley, move it up against Allan Green or Aaron Pryor Jr.

 

Kelly will be speaking spanglish before you know it..

Yeah, I mentioned Zuniga as a TYPE of fighter he should go back to fighting for an unknown length of time. Fighting 2 Cclass guys like Gomez and Cunningham weren't near enough to get his mind right for a Bute/Ward/Froch type fighter.

My point is he needs to stick around the journeymen and fringe for at least 6-7 fights. Get his confidence back and gauge where he is, mentally, physically, and athletically. It's risky since fringe contenders like Andrade and Dirrel could end him for short money, but if he wants to win this fan back he needs to go through the ranks and not get an unearned title shot just to get KTFO in 2-3 rounds by Bute or schooled 12-0 by Ward.:deal

 

It will take a few weeks to sweat out the booze.

good ****!!! that suspect racist skinhead is always exciting. any word on a possible next opponent? I'd like Taylor 3, Andrade or even Allen Green....all winnable fights for Kelly vs guys that will actually give him some rounds and trouble along the way. Good stepping blocks if he wants to hop right back to the elite level after this fight.
