Maybe I'm nuts, but everytime I watch Kelly Pavlik I think I am looking at a giant sized Little Red.

    Insane work rate
    Leaky defense
    Big power in both hands
Hits the deck and comes roaring back to score highlight reel KO's
    Skinny and Pale
Absolute confidence in work rate and power to win
If you try to rest on ropes or in corner, you're dead meat
    Tall for weight
    Exciting TV fighter
    Blue collar back ground
little to no pre-fight trash talk
    Genuinely likable and humble.

    Thoughts?

Insane work rate: disagree, he has a good workrate but not like paqcuiao or calzaghe.
Leaky defense: i agree with that
Big power in both hands: agree
Hits the deck and comes roaring back to score highlight reel KO's: agree
Skinny and Pale: true but danny looked like a white cherokee lol
Absolute confidence in work rate and power to win: agree
If you try to rest on ropes or in corner, you're dead meat: agree
Tall for weight: he is a tall fighter but compared with a lot of atg middleweights he is average(hearns, monzon etc)
    Exciting TV fighter: agree
    Blue collar back ground: agree
little to no pre-fight trash talk: agree
    Genuinely likable and humble.: agree

Of course there are differences, but the similarities are striking. And, just like Salvador Sanchez dismantled Lopez, Pavlik will lose his zero in similar fashion.

Nope, the division just isn't deep enough to build a real legacy at 160.

Pavlik has another undefeated prime middleweight champion arthur abraham, to unify the title with. He also has a highly skilled top veteran like winky wright to fight. He then has another prime WBA champion who most thought beat oscar de la hoya.

Afteer that, who knows who will come out of the woods for him to fight

Pavlik also has the 168 and 175 divisions too look at after hes done with the middleweight. I'm glad he's not cherry picking like the way Roy Jones and Calzaghe did, they just wasted thier careers take garbage fights.

    Good point.

Lot of the today's fighters just say "Look at me, look at me".

Instead of BEING proud to be the middleweight Champion of the World,
(or Heavyweight Champ, lightweight Champ, etc)

See names like Hagler, Monzon, Chavez, Louis, etc.
