he has always trained his ass off, always came to fight, always showed heart and never quit. not being from the area i can only rely on what those from there say...and to hear jsimps tell it...the man has his demons but he genuinely wants to win a title again. hopefully the desire to accomplish the latter trumps those demons. but since its a team effort to win a title, the team also has a responsibility not to be enablers. no one can keep kelly from drinking if he really wants to, but at least it can be a team effort not only to get back to form but to stay away from situations where his weakness may get the better of him. i am from Florida. there is a pool hall not too far from where i live. i have been to this pool hall a few times and have seen this person there several years ago. this person was the #1 overall draft pick in the baseball draft. the kid could do it all and was the next big thing. all the talent in the world and he was completely ****ed out of his mind on crack and booze. his agent had to go down to miami once and pull him out of a trailer full of crack heads. the guy's name is josh hamilton. he went to rehab and is now the MVP of the american league and its been a team effort. hamilton's wife has all the money and gives him an allowance and the texas rangers allow hamilton to have his pastor travel with the team. kelly can do it.
I wish him the best, I really like him as a person and a fighter. Think he's a lot better than people want to believe, and I hope he has a good comeback and opens some eyes. Chavez Jr. needs to happen, that'd be a big win for either guy at this point in their careers.
He needs to get the hell out of Youngstown and ditch Jack Loew. Doubling the jab will only get you so far.
given how pissed cam has been lately, not only with his side of the fence but also with TR, i wouldnt be surprised to see him take a bigger role in a comeback if kelly can do it. i think he may want to make sure this time "its done the right way"...whatever he thinks that is, and he does talk about adams a lot.
Tell me Mr. Peterson, how many lucky overhand lefts Maravilla landed on Williams over two fights? I stopped counting when I ran out of fingers and toes...
