    Only in Kelly's mind. Kessler is a bigger star in Denmark, as well as a better boxer.

    Kelly missed his last chance to cash out of boxing with a decent payday.

    Kessler is a much more recognizable name in Montreal. Eric Lucas brought boxing back in Canada a decade ago and he was beaten by Kessler during his first comeback. I know way more people who know who Kessler is and respect him than people who know Pavlik. It's absolutely right that Pavlik is a bigger name in the states, tough...

    Just wondering how the hell did pavlik not know he was only gonna make 50K for this fight? Wouldn't it say in the contract how much he would make when he signed it?

    Pavlik had the world in his hands after knocking out JT and then drunk and immediately pissed it away. What a shame, even though he turned out to be a limited fighter and was lucky JT and Edison Miranda didn't exactly turn out to be ATG's. Definition of the great white hype.

    yup 300 or 350k but no more than 400. That's why donaire tried to negotiate with golden boy since top rank wasn't paying him enough.

    And what's he complaining about... The $1.35M sets Pavlik up for life.

    price of 1 good beer: $2
    Kelly's cut: $1350000 - say about 25% costs (trainer/entourage etc) $1012500 - 50% taxes = $506250
    20 beers a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, for $2 a piece = $14560 a year
    $506250/$14560=34,7 years

    Kelly is 29 (for 4 months now) so he can be drunk everyday until he reaches the age of 64.
    By that time his liver failed already, or any other organ so clearly the rest of his life.

    No reason to complain

    Somebody needs to remind Kelly Pavlik that it's not 2008 anymore. He lost his momentum with his addiction and has to get it back. If he wasn't ready for Bute he shouldnt have signed for the fight.
