Kelly Pavlik Logs In Worst Perfomance of His Career

It goes a little deeper than that for some people. When you have posters like Boo who straight clowned people for saying the very things he says in his post, people are going to lash back.


I never take anything anyone says to heart... (Except Pavlik is King, who straight out tells proven lies about Paul.) And I enjoyed the more brash, arrogant and abrasive Booradley and Hermit. It was all in good fun, but some people are too sensitive to understand this.

 

Yeh, the backlash is a little misguided. Boo and Hermit are probably the most well known Pavlik supporters on the site as they produce the most threads that almost always produce at least 20 pages(almost there now on this one). So they kind of get viewed erroneously as speaking for all Pavlik fans.

But I disagree with you. He didn't give props to Sergio, he said he did a "great job taking advantage of the overall situation" the overall situation meaning Pavlik being 178, having a terrible trainer, having a terrible cutman, Pavlik not being the Pavlik of 4 years ago, Pavlik not wanting it anymore, etc. So basically, if you paraphrase Sergio Martinez took advantage of Pavlik being unprofessional, with an unprofessional team, and sucking....which is vastly different than "Sergio did a great job". It's exacerbated more when he says things like Jeff Lacy would take out Pavlik on Saturday...which is ridiculous and pretty much equates to a TON of people could beat Pavlik.

Overall, I agree, I like Boo's posts.

 

You can't analyze a fight because it is just a bunch of excuses I guess. Things happen for a reason people. Geez.....

 

I read the other day someone came up with some super duper protein drink that makes you lose weight IF you give up caffeine and alcohol. Of course only THEIR super duper protein drink works. The reasoning is after the caffeine and alcohol are out of the liver it can start breaking down fat. I paid attention to it because last year my son bought a bunch of protein powder on line and I got some of it from him. I had cut back the caffeine just because of my work schedule and wasn't drinking at the time. I was walking/running some and losing weight pretty well. Later I got into the habit of drinking a beer a night and the weight loss stopped. I don't know if that was the reason or not, but after reading the article I wondered a bit......

 

I have straight up admitted I'm not exactly a crack boxing analyst. From where I was sitting my nose bled more than Pav's cut eye and I haven't watched it again yet. Even then I don't know if I'll be able to tell if I'll be able to sort it out properly. People I know and trust say Pav's legs gave out around the 8th round. When have you EVER seen that happen before? He has always been a monster until the end, able to hurt Taylor at the end of the 11th with a body shot using a hand that was in a major state of hurt. I'll be damned if I'm going to ignore **** because people call it making excuses. Things happen in boxing matches for REASONS. Martinez came in better prepared and things came together for him. That is the end result.

 

Well I'm glad to hear he does not have a problem with booze. Wasted talent is the worst. I think he needs to bring a trainer in to help with his footwork, balance and postioning. Kelly has confidence in Jack, so keep him. But they could bring in another trainer/advisor for a few weeks to help with some of the things that may not be jack's strong points. They use to do it all the time in the old days. Kelly has a problem with movers and this has to be addressed.

He should have at least resorted to beasting him down instead of having this guy run circles around him sparring with him and showing blatant disrespect.

He's removed it because the truely honest guys like pavlik fan - who have come in here and not made any excuses - have shown him up for being an objective moron with nothing but pathetic excuses to make.

 

He's been quoted at length in many of the comments. I'm not sure what he was hoping to achieve by that.

From what I saw Pavlik should just move up in weight... He should fight Miranda or Andrade and then fight Bute. I don't think Kelly is done...he is just done at middleweight.
