i like it. there is plenty of time to build up a pav/bute fight so that the winner can face the winner of the super six. putting them on the same card as co-features is a great way to start that. i'm sure martinez will have something to say about that but i think pav knocks him out.

Let's face it, HBO wants to put on a strong card to go up against Showtime.... I understand it in once sense, but there is so little boxing that I think it is very short sighted of them to try and split the audience. Good boxing just begets more viewers in the long run, no?

 

why the **** is Pavlic fighting a guy who is a natural junior middleweight? How about fighting someone in your own division that is actually a full time boxer and not some part time cab driver.

 

martinez would beat anyone at mw other than pav and maybe williams. i know you hate kelly so i know you can do better than that. that isnt saying much about the mw division but thats the way it is. tighten up

the same can be said about your boy, floyd. by the way, do you even know who sergio martinez is? maybe if you stopped sucking on floyd's ball sack so much, you'd be able to see how good of a fighter martinez is.

 

Yeah, I don't see the purpose of putting it on opposite the Super 6. They might hurt Showtime, sure, but they'll lose some audience too.

 

Miranda makes sense. We'd get the chance to measure Bute against a guy Pavlik beat in a great fight. I don't think Zuniga really counts for much in that area. The older, 168 pound version, is not quite the same fighter as the younger, 160 pound version.

Pavlik/Martinez means we'd get to see how KP handles a really good southpaw. I've pointed it out before, but the best southpaw Pav ever fought was a shop worn McKart.

 

NAh boo. Miranda aint really a test Berrios was a biger stronger, more skilled and yes way more powerful hitter then miranda is and Bute past with Flying Colors. Bute vs Miranda will BE likePlaying with a ****** forBute. i think A solid win against say a Steglitz chance to pick up anothe belt or even a fighter like Manny Siacca or even the other Dirrell, Anthony. Miranda brings a name but thats it.

 

I didn't mean to infer that Bute would have trouble with Miranda. I meant it would be good for hyping a Pavlik/Bute match-up. Lampley and Merchant would talk mad ****, and that's a good thing.
