Kelly Pavlik, Lucian Bute Double Header April 17th on HBO? Green-Bika in jeopardy?

April 17th is a bad idea. April 10th is another option being discussed.

 

Dibella really is putting himself in the middle of a war making these fights. I am sure SHO is pissed off that they are letting Green walk into the tournament they are putting huge money behind and then at the same time Dibella is putting a great show on against them on HBO. If it wasnt for that, I think this would all work out. Moving the night makes sense, but Bute already has the Bell Centre booked for the 17th. hmmmmm not sure how this will all play out.

 

The boxing audience is really not all that big. They need to work using each others events to build on, not compete against. HBO still has the money and should simply let SHO's events work to their advantage. Stupid, stupid, stupid.... Competing against the tourney only makes an eventual 'unification' weaker.

 

It's not about us fans. HBO and SHO have been at each others throats for years. They purposely put on shows against one another. Too bad. Can't we all just get along?

 

If I were Showtime, I would put Bika as Taylor's replacement.

 

Of Williams, Sturm, and Martinez. Sergio, is the hardest matchup for Kelly. He most likely beats him on points.

Do you think a champio like Bute would accept to enete a back door competition after Direll and Taylor (the last having then 4 defeats in the last five fights) and even by entry match.

Bute has no choice but to fight on April 17 if it's to be at Bell Center. That's the only available date in April, assuming the Habs make it to the playoffs. If not, then it could be push back a week or two.
