Don't get any more reliable than this. :deal According to sources, super middleweight knockout artist, Kelly Pavlik (33-1 31KO) is headed eight pounds south to the middleweight division. Pavlik sees the move as one that will further his career. "I look at the middleweight division right now and I know I can make some noise" said Pavlik. "I feel like my power will carry down with me and that I should have a belt by the end of 2013."
I totally believe if kelly can make the weight without suffering, that he can be a serious player at middleweight, and on another note it's not like the division doesn't need the star power.
Pavlik has said he is not going to do it from what I have read. I don't get it though because I think he said he is walking around at about 175. Against Martinez he came into the fight at 178. He was drained no doubt, but three pounds less weight to lose would make a big difference.
Seriously though Hermit have you not heard Pavlik say he is walking around at 175? His back maybe looks to wide now days though.
Yeah, I just saw a Seckbak vid here he says 160 isn't likely but doesn't rule it out completely. Not the point of the thread though.
