OK. Kelly is the home town lad, many of you know my feelings from my postings, but this? And what has changed in the past few weeks to warrant this change? Why now? Too long after Lockett. Signing against Bhop was enough? Maybe a database glitch? 1 Kelly Pavlikmiddleweight 2 Joe Calzaghelight heavyweight 3 Manny Pacquiaolightweight 4 Bernard Hopkinslight heavyweight Can I use this as further proof Joe knows Kelly would beat him and is ducking??? Please?????? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/44449-kelly-pavlik-bernard-hopkins-best-pound-for-pound-what-were-they-thinking
There's a chance that Pavlik could find himself in the legitimate P4P #1 ranking by the end of the year. If he beats Hopkins who is currently #4, and De La Hoya beats Pacquiao who is currently #1, and Jones beats Calzaghe who is #2, Pavlik will likely find himself at #1. The most coveted title in boxing is the P4P #1 because it draws the attention of non boxing fans and casual fans - ie the general public. It could mean interesting things for the sport if a "White guy" were to become the #1 P4P.
Well at least we agree on something. People don't want to hear that race ****, but if you don't think it still exists, then you're fooling yourself!
Like it or not don't complain people . . . boxrec has their own formula on computing their ratings. :yep :good
Lobotomized? :nut This is one place where you REALLY have to earn a spot I think. No one in boxing has fought better competition? This is really what it comes down to for me.
I wondered if Pavlik gets past Bhop and Cal fails against Jones if Pavlik would fight Jones....... Not really sure what I think about that. I'm still getting used to Kelly fighting Bhop.:huh
