Kelly Pavlik is an example of the power of Television and how it can alter and change the perceptions of Boxing fans.

Kelly Pavlik is a good fighter. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yeh Why Aye mate, you just jump on the Pavlik bandwagon with the rest of the nation, talk about an overnight wonder..... Calzaghe was reigning defending undeafeated Champ when Kelly was dreaming of working at the Youngstown Steelworks man.

I told you so, these cherry pickers will never take a chance. forget this guy Calzaghe his team and his whole fraudenlent career. These guys are a disgrace to boxing and to fans everwhere. I say this anyone who cannot see through is is just biased and indifferent to the facts. How on earth can they justify it.

Actually I've been watching Pavlik for a few years. After the McKart fight I predicted Pavlik would KO Talyor inside 8 rounds. He got him in 7. I'm very much accustomed to being in the minority regarding Kelly, but hey, even a dead fish can float down stream, so I don't mind swimming against the tide of popular opinion. Oh, and by the way, it helps that I've been RIGHT!

Fair enough, but your far from right if you think Pavlik can dominate Joe at SM without Joe having a say in the matter....its been said for years about different fighters, do you know how many times we heard about some kid dominating and knocking Joe out.....heard and saw it all before.

    Aint that the truth!

I see this being a tough fight, but if it happens I think Joe by a close decision

as far as money goes calzaghe has had a **** time.he needs money to retire on and jones is the money fight.after he beats jones fans will want pavlik calzaghe more and then the money might be right for him.
in the mean time if kelly wants to fight joe i`d surgest he fights a smw while waiting for joe to fight rjj.kessler would be a good choice if he can get that on fast enough and it will test him to see if he really is ready for calzaghe.

this is all down to warren/calzaghe getting a bigger cut of the purse WHEN the fight happens. i'm surprised people can't see that. there's still a chance he'll fight jones first but he'll fight pavlik too.

WTF? Beating Jones would be the perfect ending to Calzaghe's career! :huh

Surely, everyone on this forum knows that beating Pavlik, rather than Jones, would enhance Joe's legacy far more & would be a better ending to his career!

I'm not saying Calzaghe would or wouldn't beat Pavlik - it's a very tough fight in my view, but Pavlik is a much tougher opponent than Jones can ever be at this stage of his career!

Warren is trying to play-down Pavlik by suggesting pressure has not been put on him. Well, I disagree, because Taylor put pressure on Kelly.

If Calzaghe chooses the easier option by boxing Jones, I hope people make their feelings known because Warren will try to diminish Pavlik as not an established fighter.

I'm not hopeful of Pavlik-Calzaghe. Can't see Calzaghe or Warren wanting to risk Joe's unbeaten run. Fighting Jones does nothing for Calzaghe as a fighter or for his legacy.

All it tells me is that Joe took the easy option, went after a guy who is shot to bits as a fighter!
